Trevor....it will take time, like a day or two of gaming action.
I've been playing PS2 for years and just switched to the XBox360. I was impressed with how quickly I was able to get used to the new Xbox360 controller.
BTW - what made you pull the trigger on the XBox?

I've just been waiting until I could be relatively sure that I could get a Falcon motherboard. Well, and my birthday yesterday.
The Wii is fun for certain types of games, but I've just found myself missing football games and I can't get into the way you play Madden/ NCAA on the Wii.
Ok, and I've really been wanting to play next gen games in HD.

New onlime gamer
I got a PS3 for the sole reason of playing COD4. I tried logging on to the network, after creating a profile of course, and it says "Downloading game settings." It did this for half an hour before I gave up on it. Someone please help, I have a severe case of blood lust that needs quenched.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
COD4:MW surpassed Halo 3 as the top played game on Xbox LIVE.
Even more impressive, it was just announced that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the best selling video game title worldwide for the 2007 calendar year according to The NPD Group, Chart Track and The GFK Group! The fact that this game was released in November and only had two months to achieve the top position is phenomenal.

It took me quite a few attempts to finally get the new patch to download so I could get online, but I will say once it finally worked the game is amazing. My advice FWIW, would be to just keep trying it. It will work eventually. I had always been a NCAA/Madden buyer and not much else, but this game is phenomenal.

I totally suck at this game...I didn't stop the terrorists as the US Marine and a nuclear bomb exploded. He's dead now.

Get a 360. You will have more people to play with then.

I'm finally up and running after dealing with the port forwarding issue. If anyone is looking to pad their stats, I'm an easy kill.

Found a nice tip for the big TV station battle in the single player campaign. Yeah, I beat it without it, but this tip made it so much easier.
Instead of running straight through the door and into the offices on the left side of the room, run to the right, all the way down and into the small closet. Makes it very easy to play as long as you're decent at throwing back grenades.

My favorite Killcam replay of me getting killed (once again) happened on the "Countdown" map with the nuclear missle silos. I was crouching near the middle of the map about to take a shot at someone across the map when a guy ran up behind me and knifed me. After I was he backed up slowly and accidentally fell into the big empty missle silo with the 30 foot drop and fell to his .
Ok, maybe you had to be there but I was cracking up at the time.

The wife was bitching the other day that I still haven't played NCAA 2008 yet which she also got me for my birthday in January.

As far as I am concerned, this was the game of the year. I repeat, I don't think I've beaten one game in the last 10 years, and I played this straight through and beat it in 3-4 nights...
