How does their message board community stack up with MSU?

Yeah, that's the conventional wisdom, though MSU will probably go in as 14 - 21 point dogs. Tressell knows better than to look past Dantonio, but right about now, at 7 - 0, his kids are thinking they're pretty hot ****. If the OL is healthy on Saturday, MSU has a decent chance to surprise these guys.
Keep in mind their rookie QB may be more of a liability than Hoyer, who is progressing pretty well. He's not throwing a lot of picks, and though he takes sacks when he might throw the ball away, he'll correct that eventually. Also, if he can follow up 20 - 23 with a similar performance, and the OL allows him to do that and opens some holes for Thunder & Lightning, and the DL pressures the OSU QB look for the SOS talk to take the end of the year off.

That's exactly what they said in '98 when MSU was the 28 pt dog.

John Cooper is a legitimate excuse for pretty much anything.
He is the JLS of tO$U.

Their secondary is young as is their DL. Their LBs are good, obviously, but I can see us doing well against this defense.
Edit: looking at their roster, there isn't a whole lot of seniors on this team at all. They'll be scary good next year. In addition to the positions I mentioned, they also have a young OL.

OSU is scary good every year....95% of the time they win the games they are supposed to...unlike MSU....I don't expect MSU to stack up to Ohio State but I do get tired of all the losses to teams we are favored to beat.

I like how they're like, "Hoyer is pretty good, Ringer is very speedy and elusive, Thomas is a big deep threat, they have a new mentality, this is a trap game, it will be hard to stop the Ringer-Caucrick tandem, etc" and then predict a 41-7 win. We can beat these schmucks.

Seems like they're all just passing us off because we lost to Northwestern...

You people need to realize that USF IS A GOOD ****ING FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!! They have an incredible defense and the offense is solid and they are a very well coached team. They might lose tonight but in no way will they get thumped and if they get to the MNC game vs. OSU it will be deserved and will not make the MNC a "farce" like someone else said on page 1. Hell, USF has played a tougher schedule than the Bucknuts so far.

They should be giving us some respect after all we lead the Big 10 in scoring. It's obviously going to be a showcase of offense vs defense. I don't think we will be all that successful running it up the middle agaisnt these guys. As someone pointed out earlier we need to use our speed and air it out. Thonas needs to come up big for us and catch a few long bombs. Hopefully we can establish the running game by airing it out on them. Once se spread them out on defense we can hit the Buckeyes with the running game. Now if we just go with a heavy dose of Caulkrik and Ringer that is not going to work agianst the Buckeye defense.
We need to take some calculated risks in ths game and go for it. What do we have to lose? Everyone and their mother outside of MSU thinks that OSU is going to win.

We need to win the turnover game. Don't give up big plays - win the field position game and make them get long drives to score. Force them to throw the ball where a good rush can cause some damage.
We'll need some lucky breaks, a long pass, runback, fumble return, blocked punt or all of the above - but I like this team on the road - we will not be intimidated. I will be drunk for this one.
