That being said, it was really more like a 17 point win than a 7 point win for tOSU--but still a decent showing for us.

Any team that can throw will score on this defense. There are NO PLAYMAKERS in the defensive backfield, and Nemo is not very good.

Good lord you people are idiots. Yes of course we can win out, but if you think it's actually going to happen you're nuts. Most of those games will be close, and what has this team done to show you they can win close games?
Oh yeah, held on against Pitt. This team is no different then MSU teams of the past, two steps forward, three steps back.

Save the hissy fit, Frances. They made a big step away from SOS against Indiana, and another giant step towards respectability today.
If you're going to bail on a first year coach losing by 7 to the #1 team in the nation with a team slated to finish last in the B10, then please exit the ride immediately. And thanks for visiting!

I'm looking forward to the rest of the games. I don't know if we'll win all of them or lose all of them, but they should be entertaining to watch. I think we had our one hiccup with Northwestern. I would expect them to come out playing hard the rest of the season.
We're usually good for a upset once a year, let's hope it's uofFm.

I'm absolutly not bailing on the coach, or the team. I was really disapointed today, but it's over and done with.
I'm bailing on the idiots here that actually expect to win out.

What we have seen this season is that MSU should be in the game with every team on the schedule. Thats the good news.
The flip side is that every remaining team on the schedule is tough defensively. And tosu showed everyone the recipe for stopping the MSU offense. To a lesser extent, the remaining 4 teams will be able to emulate what tosu did today.
The hope for MSU is for improvement on the offensive side of the ball; improvement in OLine play; improvement in some of the key playmaker positons.
The MSU D has shown they can play well enough to keep MSU in the game, but scoring points on O is going to be the decisive factor in these last 4 games.

I don't think tOSU showed anyone a recipe for stopping us--unless they have those linebackers and the rest of tOSU's defense. Its pretty clear that stacking the line against the run is the first thing to do against us--good luck to the rest of our schedule with that "recipe."
I'm not saying we'll win out--that's crazy talk--but its a bit simplistic to say that now our D is fine and the season hinges on scoring enough points. This team is a work in progress, and though we're moving in the right direction it shouldn't be surprising to see steps forward and back by both the offense and the defense.

Bowling Green doesn't throw well? Indiana doesn't throw well?

How so? Do you really think Iowa, um, Purdue, and PSU have the defensive talent of OSU?

How so? I saw an offense that looked horrible, and a defense that gave up big play after big play. If OSU could hang on to the ball we get shut out.

That's true. Ohio State scored 24 themselves and put up 14 for State. Those were gifts and made the game look close, when that wasn't the reality of what was happening on the field.
Ohio State has a great defense and a mediocre offense. The game yesterday was reflective of their team's strengths and weaknesses. We were just the Washington Generals to their Globetrotters and the squad from Harlem was a bit off their game.
Based on yesterday, all I learned is that the team hasn't folded their cards for the year. In terms of how we'll do in the remaining four games, it's still hard to find a win on that schedule.....

A good indicator of how our team played is by looking at the tOSU message boards. This is during our two defensive TD's.

Had the #1 team on the ropes at their place. I know some of you will say so what. Well after how we played OSU the last couple years that is definate progress in my book.

You're delusional, as are so many of our fans.
6-6 = good season this year.

So you are hoping we go 6-6? I seriously doubt we will be favored against any team the rest of the year.
