The Devil's Rejects was a pretty F'd up movie but didn't real "scare" me..

Amityville Horror still real gives me the creeps....the red pig eyes outside the window still gives me goosebumps

It was out my second year of college, and we saw that thing so many times, we had the lines memorized. Good flick. Totally agree with "The Shining". I have never been able to watch that movie all the way thru. It seems to me that there is a major difference between the horror movies of the 50's 60's and today. Then, they let your imagination take over, today they graphically show it. The most frightening movie for me, was Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.

Diary of Emily Rose freaked me out.

Not your typical slash and gash horror movie but scary regardless.

Re: The Exorcist, it is not "real". No one actually died during filming. And yes it is frightening/disturbing, but it is a very well-made movie with excellent acting. It really is a horror masterpiece. The director is William Friedken, who also did "The French Connection". It's a revolutionary movie that has never been duplicated, or successfully imitated. Yes, it's scary, but it's also a very good movie in general.

I don't remember what she looks like, I'd rather not see any pix of her or the other Exorcist chick...

I can't recall a movie that scared me enough not to watch it again...I always liked scary movies.

There was one movie I remember from a slumber party in junior high though...just can't think of the name. The movie was nasty though - all I recall was that there was a mom and her 2 sons who were criminals. They kidnapped a girl (I think?) - she got raped while they took Polaroids (called it "the Kodak game" ), forced to drink Drano, etc. Can't recall the name, but it was very disturbing...especially since I was maybe 13ish when I saw it.

(Obviously the girl who had the slumber party had very lax parents...my parents would have flipped if they found out that we ended up seeing that movie at that age. Hell, if I told my mom about that now, she'd probably still be pissed and that was 20 years ago. )
The movie you are talking about is Mother`s Day. Very creepy and weird.
