The Tigers are not done with their offense. They will likely pursue a left-handed outfielder, such as Geoff Jenkins.
yeah I see Jones coming back and Rogers if his wife allows him too.

DD in an interview on mlive said: "While the Tigers have also talked about acquiring a left-handed hitting left fielder, Dombrowski said Monday that he's fairly comfortable with their lineup right now."

so, something could happen, but doubtful.

I would like to hear about a couple FAs that the Tigers are actually taking a look at for pitching. I know there are some good guys out there.

The only thing that I have heard is that they are targeting Rogers, but if that doesn't work they will target another veteran. Of those, the only name that I have heard is Bartolo Colon (barring physical), but I would imagine that they would look at Livan Hernandez too.

They have been very quiet about the closer spot though. One interesting name that I heard this morning (not linked to the Tigers though) is Kerry Wood. Most baseball GMs are now looking at him as a high risk, potentially high reward closer.
besides buster olney, what have you heard?

Yeah, there was a lot of talk about the good relationship that Boras has with the Tigers and the Boras must have something up his sleeve in order to not even take the 10 days and at least talk the Yankees.

Smokescreen. He doesn't want to seem desperate, but the Tigers really need a left handed bat with some power. Comerica is built for a left handed hitter.

I doubt we are targeting all these guys. There have to be a few we are specifically targeting.

Too early to know. They are targeting Rogers and Jones. The only other one that I have heard is Colon.

I think we need some new relief as well. Just a little mix up will do. One or two guys.

Only passing on what I heard.

Personal opinion - I hope they can do better, but if they can sign him for next-to-nothing with some high incentives, I can live with that. He is only 2 years removed from winning the Cy Young.

yeah we were talking about starters but we need bullpen help more IMO. Saito was pretty much lights out for the Dodgers this year, 63 games, 39 saves 1.40 era and 78 ks in 64 innings
