I'd go after Eckstein for sure. They need a power 1b which may be Jenkins.......get these 2 and some bullpen help and they are looking good.

I don't think it really is going to matter. The class of the AL is Boston. Cleveland will also be very good next year. The Tigers will not make the playoffs.

Remember Boston didn't make the playoffs last year.

i'm probably going to butcher his name but what about Jair Jurgens the pitcher that steped in for us a few times? He seemed to have really good stuff and pitched well in his starts.

I think he'll probably start the season as the 5th man in the rotation.

not enough starts to prove anything about his future. Sure, his first few games were good but his last two were not so good. He is still a question mark as to how good he will be on a consistent basis.

Doh. Forgot about him (I thought I was missing one). I'll fix.

I think he'll compete with Miller and the other young'uns for that 5th spot.

The next big news will be ARod. He has up to 10 days after the end of the WS to determine if he is going to opt out or not.

Also, it looks like the M's are not going to pickup Jose Guillen's option. Not a bad fit for the Tigers in the OF - but that depends on the price - and it would be nicer to land a LH OF.

this is true. I will be shocked if he does not opt out. new rumors are talking about red sox...wouldn't that be great (if the tigers don't get him).

115 SOs? the OBP is good. He is a right fielder though. He is equal or better than Ibanez who has been talked about if he gets released b/c they cannot get rid of sexson.

It'd be an upgrade (move Mags to LF). I'd still like to see a LH OF though.
