I'm sure it's cleaned off by now anyway. When this has happened in the past, MSU Grounds crew has been out there powerwashing before anyone could get photos of it.

You gotta use Balsamic. I heard that stuff is a *****. Or does that only work on stone floors?

No. Several times people have questioned this. Though, a few people claim to have seen it now.

[EDIT] One other person claims to have seen it (Negotiator).
Usually, something like this will at least get a blurb in the local papers.

Please, DO NOT post any pictures. It needs to disappear as fast as possible.
Do you want this to be a wallpaper on every uofFm fans computer for the next year???

This thread can die ASAP as well. This will be my only contribution to the subject.

I saw it on the ride to class @ around 9:50 this morning. On the way back home at around noon, all that was left was a large yellow smudge where the "M" once was.

I walked by the statue on my way back from the library at around 2:00a this morning and saw no vandalism.

Right. Hence why I said one other person... as in... someone other than the OP is backing up the story.

from my experience at UM it's usually dumb high school kids from the greater Lansing area who does this **** because it never gets mentioned in UM communities or wherever UM students would brag about it and the only people I've come across bragging about it were kids in high school who show up at parties and expect to be welcome

Could it be one of our own, perhaps

someone that is struggling, or that has gotten off to a rocky beginning?
