I like the theory that it's Michael on the boat. I also want to know what happened to Jacob's house. Both Locke and Hurley have been there so something up with it not being visible when Locke took his group there.
Also interesting the number of people who don't want to leave the island is growing....
|
I think the cabin is not real or has the ability to move. Hurley told Locke that the cabin was in a different direction in last week episode. Locke looked at him...like how do you know about where the cabin is? Then Hurley said oh no your right..you know where to go.

I didn't see this posted anywhere else, but this is one of the best theories on what is going on with Lost that I have seen.
edit: the link is bad... just Google "The Great Gedanken Experiment, A Tale of Time Travel & Schrodinger’s Cat"

So is the guy Sayid shot on the golf course the guy on the pager? I'm trying to figure out the connection. The golf course guy seemed instantly frightened when Sayid revealed himself.

I don't think it's the guy on the pager, just someone else from ben's 'list'. and since we now know the list has some kind of connection to the island, or ben, or the coverup or whatever, when the guy found out Sayid was one of the Oceanic 6, he was scared because he was involved in it somehow.

Did he chide him for falling for a woman or following his heart? Have to rewatch. Anyway, I think he was alluding to something Sayid does after his arrival on the freighter that we haven't seen yet. Perhaps he sides with the freighter people and it costs him or the other survivors (which might help him on his path to assassin).

His name "aberdean?" sounded familiar. Is it?

Secondly, I think Ben would have made more of a stink about Sayed trying to get on that boat if Michael is the spy. We would have heard Ben tell Sayed not to "out" Michael because all of their fates hang on Michael's ability to infiltrate the boat people.
|
It would certainly be a leap of faith to trust a refuge like Michael. But, perhaps, he brought them information or earned their trust somehow. He definately would hate Ben and that might help. But, if Michael is Ben's mole, then Ben must have something big over him still.
I'm not sold either way. I think it makes sense that Michael is on that freighter. I don't know how he reappears on the show otherwise. But, is he the mole? He could be, or he could be on the ship as a "guest" to provide them with information and the mole could be someone else.

Jacob used to favor Ben, I'm going to guess Ben stole Jacob's favor from someone else, and then Jacob's house moved so that Ben could find it, but not the previous favorite of Jacob, so when Jacob spoke to Locke, Ben was threatened and shot Locke. Jacob wanted Locke to get all the survivors to come with him, but Locke failed, he needed Hurley, so Hurley is now favored by Jacob, and therefore, Hurley knows where it is. Remember, Hurley found the cabin somewhere else ("The Cabin was that way I thought")

Anyone think that the bracelet that Naomi and The German Chick wore are "tracking devices"??

Isn't one of the people on the freighter named Regina? Doesn't she sound a lot like Naomi?

Just a thought for the bracelet

So did Benjamin Linus recruit Sayid while they were locked up together in the barracks? I think Ben told Sayid some things about the people on the freighter, and Sayid helps Ben. Sayid will be his mole on the boat now. Sayid was awesome last night
Is there a Desmond episode coming up? I need to find out some **** about him. I dont trust that guy. How did Juliette just show up with him at the end? Where the hell was Desmond that whole time?

Jack sent Juliette to get Desmond, who was down by the beach with the survivors that sided with Jack.

Regina is played by Zoe Bell. She looks nothing like the actress that plays Naomi.

He's not like Jack, someone who has a marketable skill and can go get some legit employment. Ben is a marked man to The Powers That Be. He knows they are coming for him--they came for him on the island, why wouldn't they come for him when he gets off? So why not go on the offensive? And if you are gonna go on the offensive, why not use someone you know who a) has a vendetta with these same people, and b) is a trained killer?
|
I don't think Ben is going on the offensive. The people that Sayid is trying to kill don't know that Ben is giving the orders. Otherwise, Elsa wouldn't have tried to get the name from Sayid (and she also said in German that Sayid won't give the name, so I don't think that was just to throw Sayid off). Also, Sayid said that they'll know "I'm coming for them", not "we're coming for them".
Also, I don't think this is a revenge mission for Sayid. I think he is being blackmailed (to protect the people still on the island--maybe even Jack, Kate, Hurley, and the other two of the 6) or paying off a debt to Ben (if Ben rescued him from the people on the freighter, which might explain the comment about Sayid getting into trouble following his heart).

Very good point, but Miles said that Naomi's line about a sister was the distress call. I don't see any reason to doubt him. Daniel didn't know that it was a distress call, but I don't think all of those 4 are on the same page. Lapidus told Daniel that if Minkowsky got on the phone that he was to hang up immediately, so for some reason they don't want Daniel talking to him.

Ben seems to be a much bigger player in the world outside the Island than we've been led to believe. The passports, the money, etc. There's a very interesting story line there. That's the kind of stuff a spy or an assassin might have. Maybe when Richard "recruited" him to kill all the Dharma folks, that was just his first mission. In the ensuing 20 years or whatever it was, he may have had several missions for Richard's group (which as we know has quite an off-island backing, so even when Dharma was in control pre-Ben, I don't think they were just random natives on the island). Rival companies perhaps, vying for the secrets that the island holds? Dharma vs. Widmore, with maybe even a 3rd company (Sun's dad?) in the mix? I would have never considered the assassin possibility for Ben, if not for the fact that Sayid found that stuff, and now Ben is having Sayid carry out assassinations.

I think that the last half of season 6, they finally break Ben's will, and he tells them everything.

One quick thing on the bracelet. I dont think it is as personal as it looks. The woman in Germany had a similar bracelet. It is a company thing. No clue who RG is though.

OK, I have found more screenshots that may shed some light on things. Odds are some of these things won't make total sense until next season.
When Sayid is examining Ben's bookshelf, you can see The Holy Koran. It seems fitting that Sayid would see it.
