You're mad that speculation about a fictional stroy that is displayed on TV might actually be fun? God forbid. I don't really want to continue under your nazi regime where you're right, and everybody else os wrong.

I think the only people I have said are wrong are the ones that claim there are multiple Desmonds running around in the past, claiming there are at least 2 at the stadium where he runs into Jack (and Penny). They also claim that Desmond is off-camera traveling back in time to set up a rescue. If the writers had Desmond TRAVELING BACK IN TIME OFF-CAMERA, that would be a huge insult to everyone that has watched the show.

HURLEY: "Dude, look at all those boats out there! It looks like we are being rescued. But how did they know where to look?"
DESMOND: "Well brother, while you guys have been fighting off The Others and getting involved in a bunch of other stuff, I have ventured off into the jungle and been traveling back in time dozens of times, telling friends of mine what is going on. I set up this rescue. Cheers, mate."

Do you see how stupid that sounds?

I saw some pretty good theories that you shot down many times.

Hail bolley!

I love the show and am all kinds of open-minded, but the extended preview for season 4 seems to have Opum from "Saving Private Ryan" as some sort of tough guy.... not sure that's gonna work for me. Hard not to think of that guy as anything other than b!tchmade.

Jeremy Davies is a good actor. He can come across as a sniveling, plotting jackass very well.

Just finished watching season 3 and there is no doubt in my mind that they are all dead and in purgatory. It's so obvious. Anybody who says differently doesnt follow the show closely enough.

I want to thank day for night for being one of the first people on the board to point that out and make me see the truth.

Yep, very obvious. I also think that Locke is Jesus-type character, Jack is Moses and Ben is obviously the Devil. I laugh at the people that think Lost is confusing.

If they turn this show into some sort of uber-Religious crap I'll be pretty disappointed they didn't come up with something less obvious. Some sort of purgatory-like situation sounds about right but it still doesn't explain everything. Or maybe it does but it's been so long since I've seen it I can't even remember what's going on.

JJ Abrams has specifically disavowed this theory. No purgatory.

How the **** am I the pompous one?

And yes, one of the producers has said basically exactly what the **** I posted, so I'm not making it up.

Whadda know - a Lost thread where Ozy gets territorial, snippy, and shows an absolute inability to keep perspective.

In the first season of "Survivor", that show's producer specifically disavowed rumors that Richard Hatch would go on to win.

Exactly. All these guys can discount it but it is so obvious its laughable. As I said early anyone who thinks otherwise is dumb. The facts are all there, you guys are just blind to them.

It's Ari Gold versus the nuts on this site:

Purgatory (debunked theory) - Lostpedia

I will go with the nuts. Sorry dude.

I seriously can't believe that you don't understand the premis of my theory ... and better yet, that you've worked yourself up in such a lather over it. (I've always wanted to use the phrase "worked yourself up in such a lather" ... thank you for finally giving me that window of opportunity Ozy)

They are wrong. What about Locke's dad? He came out and said they were dead.

Yeah, that is listed under the "pros":
(Anthony Cooper says to Sawyer, "If this isn't Hell, friend, then where are we?")

I just think it'd be ridiculous from a TV biz standpoint if they were dead/in hell right now. They've denied it so many times that it would be extremely lame to do it anyway and the writers/producers would be crucified. They would be the Nick Sabans of television writing.

Ridiculous but not wrong. Stop believing the Ozy hype. He knows less about this show than anyone.

i guess this is a good place to ask a lost question. i can't remember if it was the season finale, but the episode where they show jack and kate, and they hint that they got back from the island alive since they can travel for free, jack wants to crash to get back onto the island, etc. well anyways, there is a weird scene after that where he was in the hospital working, and another doc calls him out for being aloof and says maybe that has to do with him going through a lot just coming back from the island. he goes "well why dont you go see how my fathers doing upstairs, probably drunk as a skunk" or something. why does he say that? we know his father died, and we know this is still after the crash and they made it back to the island because the scene with kate is after this scene. i didn't get it at all.

Did you see the look on the other doc's face? He had a "wtf are you talking about" look. Jack was kinda nuts at that point and was grasping at straws.

I think the line was in there to show how out of it Jack was and to throw the viewers off-track.
