When is the official date for the new season?

I'm pretty excited to see how the whole flashforward thing works out this year. Will their be flashforwards all season long...or was it a one time thing last year?

Missing Pieces - LOST - a Wikia wiki

Missing Pieces are an exclusive set of spin-off episodes available on mobile phone devices. As of yet, it is unknown whether these clips will be exclusively flashbacks, or whether they will feature the island in any clips. Originally conceived in November 2005, it was to be the producers of LOST teaming up with Verizon Wireless to create a series of Mini-Episodes about the lives of characters who survived Flight 815, but we have not seen yet. Production was held for two years while negotiations were made with the the Directors Guild of America, the Screen Actors Guild and the Writers Guild of America. At the moment there are thirteen of these "mobisodes" planned.

Interesting theory.... I hope the bull brings it strong every episode. But they already said that the plane crashed because of the hatch. Maybe Im wrong...

So, they're probably only going to air 8 episodes this season due to the work stoppage. Why wouldn't they delay them until April to finish off during may sweeps?

I heard they might wait to air those 8 episodes until the fall and do one long season starting in the fall of 2008.
