I bought my laptop on eBay. It's a Compaq Armada E500 with an 800MHz Pentium III, 512MB of RAM, a 20GB HD, and a DVD-ROM drive. The battery is a bit weak, since it's six years old, but the machine runs pretty well with Windows XP.
