I don't see anything other than he's reporting what's being speculated.
Did he say this somewhere?

Scout.com: Ferentz, Michigan Speculation Heats Up
Online reports on Sunday have suggested that Michigan has offered Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz its vacant head coaching position. This is in addition to speculation from national talking heads that Ferentz is atop Michigan's wish list. HN.com Publisher Jon Miller feels it's time to weigh in on this topic and he takes on the question; will he or won't he?

He's a good coach, but the guys who are worried about him going to um are overestimating him. Iowa hasn't been that good the last few seasons, after Ferentz had turned the program into a pretty consistent winner. Looks to me like he couldn't sustain his initial success.

I saw that article. Nothing more than speculation on the speculation.

FWIW, if Frentz now shoots down uofm, he's going to become my altime favorite non- msu coach, and this will make our bi-annual losses at iowa less miserable.

The point is that after a few successful seasons at Iowa, Ferentz has taken a step back the last few seasons. Why? This season there was a lot of off field crap at Iowa, by kids Ferentz recruited. This is probably what convinced the folks @ um that Ferentz would be a perfect fit in AA.

And for me, on the flip side, he'll go from being my favorite non- MSU coach to an ******* right away.

Won't happen that way. Detnews, Freep & ESPN will do all they can to say the job was never offered to him.

Yes, but floyd did mention at his presser that he would step aside for the new coach to do the game. Would be really awkward unless he keeps floyd's staff somewhat intact.

On ESPN last night during the Mizzou/KU game, they showed a list of all the NCAA coaches who are leaving this year (either voluntarily or had been fired). According to that list, Carr is coaching the bowl game.

I hope they find someone else because he seems like a decent guy and I have grown accustomed to hating the dinks running the show there.

If he goes, his son will need a scholarship.
