UM has played a harder schedule.

Ya, I heard he didn't try to win.

Didn't take it serious? Neitzel played 40 mins for a reason.

Izziot put Walton on the big center at the end of the game to show his macho self and it backfired on the angry midget.

The bottom five on Izzo's bench should beat grand valley.

MSU has a lot of talent but it's over coached. Guys play looking more at Izzo than the floor.

I also think Green will be better than Roe. Roe could end up like Marquise Gray. Green has better all around talent.

I'd tell him Grady's job is to run the team, score points and try to elevate the program to the status of a Harvard maybe even a CMU, if he does that they might give him a nice holiday bonus and retire his jersey.

Lucas's job is to learn the offense. Push the ball up court, take open jumper, and learn as much as he can from our Neitzel (All american, Best assist/turnover ratio in the nation, took us to the NCAA last year by putting the team on his back, oh and he raped the #1 team in the nation when they put their best defender on him) Lucas is also required to play defense and is learning from one of the best in nation in Walton.

Its apples to oranges. Grady is talented the kid is a good player. I dont doubt he'd do well at MSU surrounded by far better talent then Michigan has. But Lucas would be a 1 man show at Michigan driving past them on offense (until B stops him and says "don't drive just shoot it!") Grady is asked to shoot the ball and try and carry the team. Lucas is asked to do his role, and learn. Ofcourse Grady is going to put up bigger numbers he's asked to do more (imo)

The guy obviously hasn't a clue what he's talking about. Roe is about as similar to Gray as Lucas is similar to Neitzel. They are two TOTALLY different ball players. Different skillsets. Different strengths and different weaknesses. Gray was ranked highly based solely on his strength and athleticism. He projected high at a young age.

Roe OTOH is ranked highly because he is a multi-skilled combo-forward.

I do agree with him though in saying that Green is an underrated recruit. He won't be better than Roe though...not unless Roe's knee falls apart following surgery, which isn't happening.

This is obviously a harbinger of things to come. I was statistically superior to a blue chip MSU recruit that played on a top 10 team my freshman year.

Sincerely,

Tell him KL has to learn a much more complicated system, and compete with many more talented players for playing time at MSU.

Also, explain that MSU has Walton & Neitzel, and Izzo is bringing KL along slowly so that by the end of the season, KL will be all BT when MSU is in the tourney and um is watching on TV.

Now, now....they maybe able to sneak into the CBI....you know, that new tournament that picks from the fantastic teams that don't make the NCAA or NIT. What a fantastic show that's going to be. A bunch of .500 or worse underachievers battling it out in half full gyms for the title of 97th best team in the country.

I would seriously consider finding a new employer. If this is the caliber of your co-workers, I can't imagine that company has much of a future.

I really don't understand how Michigan fans even think they can make any comparisons between MSU and their sad excuse for a team. I had a Michigan fan tell me yesterday, "Michigan State just isn't that good this year." "Isn't that good"? What exactly qualifies as "that good" then? Because Michigan sure isn't it.

Only scUM arrogance could lead their fans to believe that they have earned the right to criticize MSU. Like, yeah, we lost our game to the #1 team in the country. You've lost to Eastern Washington, Harvard (with no scholarship athletes), and CMU (at home). Your season is ridiculously embarrassing, your players are terrible, and you could pick five random people out of the Izzone that could form a better basketball "team" than the one currently attempting to play in Ann Arbor. What a joke that program is (and the same can be said of its fans). Until you start winning games (especially over MAC and Ivy League teams), please don't talk to me or criticize my perennially 20-win, NCAA-bound, national powerhouse basketball team. TIA.

Umm.....we criticize their football team. They can criticize all they want. Just make valid points. Grady better than Lucas is not one.

I gotta admit I am shocked by several of those stats - 1 - that Lucas is getting 23 min. a game.

2 - Grady is shooting 52%

3 - probably most of all, Grady is avg only 1 TO a game.

But let's be real, if they switch schools Lucas gets 35 min/game and U-M isn't 4 and 7 or 8 or whatever, and Grady could be naked under his warmups nobody would ever know!

its really just a wait and see. I watched Grady play a little. I would say however that Grady is a way better football player. Lucas is way better at defense. So head-to-head when they play in the big ten season, Lucas will win.

What does that have to do with anything? Lucas is a better passer, shooter, rebounder, defender, ball handler, has better court vision, and is taller and faster. Those cannot even be debated if you have watched the two play.

Just remind him that Kelvin Grady will come out of college the same player he went in, while Kalin Lucas will emerge stronger, more polished and a more complete player, ready to take his shot at the next level, thanks in part to superior college coaching.
