PSU had 42 FT's before we fouled due to time....
42 FT's.
MSU? 19.
MSU needs to play better defense to stop PSU, right? Well, sorry can't do that. The ref's called far too many phantom calls early in the game.
MSU needs to hit their shots, right? Well, they must fight thru hand checks and good luck getting a rebound when you are mugged.
Look folks, its simple - blaming the officials is the lowest response to a loss, I understand. However, given the amount of college basketball games I watch - I never, EVER see one sided games like tonight and Iowa.

Or in the alternative, is there something MSU does that other teams don't that leads to more fouls? Not a criticism, I seriously don't know.

Yes. Everyone always talks about how physical we are. That leads to more fouls.

Yet are we? I watch a lot of basketball, and see teams just as aggressive and "physical" as MSU on D.
I'm not saying this team doesn't need major work -- especially defensively -- but the officiating is making these games downright laughable. And unwatchable.

MSU is no different than any other team in the Big Ten - except MSU has talent, depth and a great coach.
Yet, MSU gets some of the worst calls in all of college basketball.
We all watch college basketball - Big East, ACC, Big 12, Pac 10, SEC, C-USA, etc. I never, EVER see games called like the MSU / Iowa and MSU / PSU games.
The difference in fouls and FT's is just down right wrong.
Izzo needs to question Delany and the head of officials in the Big Ten.
This is a ****ing joke.

Look, this is a bad team. However it is just a coincidence that we lost 2 games when the other team way out shot us at the FT line? Not one person on the ****ing board can tell me that every time down the court PSU was fouled. That is utter bull****. I am sick of seeing this BS.

I didn't say they didn't.
However, you can't deny PSU shooting 40-some odd (or is it 50 now?) FTs out of the blue isn't a joke.
It's just like Iowa -- a jump-shooting team who attempted ZERO free throws in a home game against Drake earlier this season, yet they go to the line 29 times compared to our 4.

Give me a break. You mean the Pathetic Morgan that had five fouls? Perhaps Gray or Suton could help out...oh wait, their on the bench with FIVE ****ING fouls.
The team played like crap, but with the way the game was played, MSU would have had to play NBA perfect to win - just like at Iowa.
You are not a better or more enlightened fan by saying "it was not the officials".

Right, but somehow at the other ed of the court it is not a foul? I would gladly sit down with you and watch the game to show that if it is a foul on MSU then it is a foul on PSU, Iowa, etc. If it is a foul fine, but why can we not get any refs that are the same at both ends of the court? Yes there were a lot of fouls by MSU but there were some of the same ****ing plays at the other end that were not called. B10 refs suck. Watch a Pac 10, Big 12, SEC game and you would see how bad they really are.

49-19 is a huge ****in differential.......not sayin the refs caused us to lose, but they got 32 points on FT's alone. That shouldnt ****in happen.

As far as I'm concerned, this wasn't even a loss. 51 free throw attempts is an absolute joke. Many of the calls were basically laughable at the end. I've seen better officiating at middle school basketball games...

2 clean steals called as fouls=8 points= game changing.
And that's just 2 calls.

You are an idiot.
If you can not see that MSU was homored in the two big ten losses this year, then you are an idiot.
