Johnny calls me "da man!" That puts me at ease. It makes me feel comfortable, because I am Black and that's how Black folks talk to one another.

Johnny always says: "I'm not racist; one of my best friends is Black!" I think he might mean me!

Sally always says things that make me feel special, like: "You're so cool, you're different, you're not like other Black people!"

Johnny is generous enough to remark upon how "articulate" I am! That makes me feel good!

My personal favorite:
Sally and Johnny give me ample opportunities to translate rap lyrics, reggae songs, and/or street slang! Like I'm a mouthpiece for many, many cultures of dark-skinned people.

How come talk here always comes down to black and white? Maybe it's because I live in LA and we have tons of latinos and asians - that I don't see the world in black/white terms.

I think the site IS making fun of overly trendy, class-conscious whites. Can't we just leave it at that?

Never implied i'm anyones mouthpiece just pointing out how I see it. I guess anyone who respects the rights of others can't comment on those rights unless he/she is of the same race according to your assbackward logic. Actually, it's similar here in AZ - I barely ever see any black people and white people are the minority.

That's exactly my point! This site said NOTHING about other race comparisions so back to my point ....why are peeps on this board bringin other races into the discussion

I'm uber-white...I've always known that, and it doesn't bother me. I play tennis, golf, and I like boat shoes. Yeah, that stuff is dorky, but I don't try to be something I'm not. Just be yourselves and quit being so damned uptight.

People are so freaking uptight about race... It's a funny list and was entertaining...just take it for what it is.

Are all white people like these stereotypes? No. Are most white people like this? No. It's satire...it's meant to be taken lightly.

Max, your proving my point (and didn't understand the post). "TBone agreed with me" is like saying you consider TBone a mouthpiece for black people.

In the original quote it was a black person saying how great it was that his white friend considers him a "mouthpiece" for dark skinned culture (sarcasm and irony being used for humor and insight) .

Why does it even matter? I always find it hilarious that minorities get all pissed when white people make fun of them in generalizations.... isn't that what humor is all about? I mean, you've got a website that makes fun of white stereotypes and everyone is laughing their asses off, why? Does everyone on the RCMB drive a Prius or a BMW with an Apple sticker on the back? No.... but we laugh anyway. But then a few posters joke about orange soda and everyone is all up in arms about it and the presumably racist implications. Give me a ****ing break.... if you're that goddam sensitive about this kind of stuff then you probably shouldn't involve yourself in anything that requires you to participate in normal, everyday contact with other human beings.
