This board wasn't closed. Donors to the site could access it. Registrations here were not closed.

But duuuuuuude, 3 Sweet 16's in a row is da bomb! Plus winning C-USA? I'd like to see any other "elite" school do that three times in a row. You honestly think MSU could handle banging with the likes of East Carolina, Tulane, UCF, and Rice year in and year out? I think not.

It was closed to donors only due to the high amount of traffic that was hitting the site. The percentage of people on this site who are donors is very small, so that limits the server load and allows the people who pay to keep it running to be able to continue to use it. Lots of MSU fans were locked out too, you know. In fact...most of them.

It was actually pretty tame until a couple of Memphis fans wandered over here. Someone also posted some comments from the Memphis board.

That being said, we could probably ask the same of your fans.

On the whole, I'd say that there are quite a few before just about every game as far as basketball goes. If you had been here before the tournament, you would have read hundreds of threads ripping the team and talking about how bad we were. Now since we've won a couple games, the inherent cockiness and confidence in our coach is returning. Had we gone out against Temple, half the board would have shot themselves. We will be very complimentary if we win though.

I think every fanbase has some members of their family that they wish would STFU though. We're no exception.
