After tonight's performance, he may not go to GR tomorrow night.
Yup. I wouldn't be surprised if Ken Holland was waiting in the lockerroom with the contract.

It is really too bad about Kopecky, but if he's not badly hurt, having him sit a few games while Abs gains experience and learns the ropes with the Wings may well pay off in the playoffs.

Officially 9 shifts for Abdelkader in the third period... he had 7 through 2 periods.

11:20 of ice time.

Kopecky's injury doesn't look good per Babcock.

So they'll probably be without Malt-cup and Kopecky in the first round

I'm worried about Homer, too, but Franzen & Cleary may pick up the slack for him if he can't play.

Stuart is also hurt, but should be back for the playoffs. As Tek posted, Holmstrom, Draper, and Samuelsson should be ready for next Thursday.

Who knows when Maltby will be back, he's got one of those nagging injuries that may not go away for a while.

Good night potentially ruined if Kopecky is out for too long. I know he doesn't score, but he's been hitting anything that moves lately.......very gritty per Babcock.

What do you think of the incoming hockey recruiting class? It's tough to find information. I know there are some good players coming in, like Trevor Nill. Do they have the potential to be as good as the 2005 class with Kennedy, Abdelkader, and Crowder and do you think the team will still have a decent shot at a CCHA title despite the losses of Abdelkader, Mueller, Lerg, Vukovic, and potentially Kennedy?
The big three of the future (from 08 freshmen class) could be Nill, Ben Warda and Daulton Leveille as forwards. There's also potential in Brett Perlini - and another Abdelkader-type in Andrew Conboy. How we replace all that scoring (and power play to boot) is a big question. But Ratchuk's possible early exit opens up a big hole on the blue line as well. We didn't score so well in recruiting on D.

A hockey post without BOG or BW making an appearance. I wonder if he is alright. Did Ron mason already retire?
