Summer weekday beer/booze bans plus running at 7:30 a.m. every weekday morning means I'm dry. Maker's sounds awfully good right now. Or, better yet, a nip of the Glenlivet in my current stash (which is all stashed in a box in my garage due to redoing my basement, which is precisely why a drink sounds good right now! )

Meh, this madness ends the week of the first game. Actually, the running will be moved to early evening and I will allow myself the occasional weekday libation, most likely with college football.

Reporting back buzzed well.
About to pull out a turkey I brined with some allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel... that I made a butter-herb-honey-cinnamon glaze for.
Smells ****ing delicious. It's gonna taste fukken good too.

Well on my way. Just got to hang out with a favorite ex-girlfriend for one day before she ships back to Iraq. Bottoms up, boys.

Played in a golf outing today, and yes, we played throughout the monsoon that pounded MI today.
6.5 hours on the course. Shotgun start at 10, got done at 4:30. Miserable.
They didn't have beer chicks on the course. I was so miserable when I finished, I didn't want a drink, I drank enough rain while playing.
Got home at 8, took a shower, and have been drinking ever since. Grabbed a 12 pack on the way home and they will all suffer their timely death before I turn in.
