It says something when someone chooses to be a 3rd stringer at MSU over being an instant starter at umaa.
Austin Thornton type Spartan.

By the time he learns the system, KN will be hopelessly behind Foles and Cousins and like his position at Oklahoma, he will be sitting on the bench or reduced to sending signals in. Foles and Cousins are good QBs and won't be easily displaced by Mr. Nichols.

Wow. That's a lot of pressure that you've put on him already. He may or may not even be the starter. I don't think that the rest of MSU's players are being judged as successes or failures unless they are "awesome".

Last year is irrelevant. Players, including transfers, have 5 years to play 4.

Pffffffff!!! Right.
Dantonio is a badass, but he's not stupid. This upgrades the talent immensley if all reports are true.

No. He has to sit out a year. Do you want him to burn a redshirt year last year or this year? In either case, he has 3 years left.

Wouldn't matter. He'd still lose the transfer year. He has 3 years.

I know you're a schtick, but there is no evidence UM was willing to take Nichol, and I honestly think its a bit unlikely given the 2 QB commits RR already has.

Waaah....you're taking this pretty hard Big M. It is a devastating blow for dickrod. Maybe if he wasn't involved with the courts, he would have been paying attention.

I love laughing at your misery.

None. Maxwell comes into the same situation whether or not KN chose MSU.

I doubt he would have been an instant starter at Michigan since Newsome, Beaver, and that '08 guy would be there. On top of that, he didn't get any love from Michigan anyways, so it wasn't really an option to go there.

He committed to MSU very early on and they ended up getting Mallet. Revisionist history doesn't work to well in this case for you guys.

I feel bad for Foles and Cousins through all this now though. I'm not sure how a guy like Nichol will be received throughout the team, but I assume (minus the qbs and possibly their friends on the team) pretty warmly. In the end I assume Nick Foles transfers due to his being farther from home. Which I would be fine with, I actually liked Cousins better as a QB anyways.
