I really question the validity of the post just on the first misspelling. The second one is understandable, but not with the other 2.

He doesn't have to sit out. He can participate in practices. Similar to Trevor Anderson last year, he will play a key role on the scout team this year.

Yup

Kind of surprised he's willing to go into the Lion's den on this one..going to be a lot of scrutiny and pressure.

IMO, It was a classless blow that he delivered to State the way he backed out of his commitment.

That said, if he wises up now and comes to the best university on the planet, I can't blame him ... and would whole-heartedly support him.

Hmm. Shocking (if true). I would have bet the farm on him heading to Ann Whorbor or the MAC.

None the less, I extend a welcome to Keith. Regardless of the situation, it's always good to pick up talent at the QB position.

Just as interesting will be watching all the people riding in on their high horses saying they never said anything bad about him. Revisionist history will be working in overtime both directions.

As I posted on the recruiting board, it sounded like Michigan decided that they were maxed out for QBs and Nichol didn't want to go somewhere where he may have to be on the bench again.

Honestly, by the time he gets to play everyone will be more concerned about the starting QB race. There's a lot less pressure on him now with Foles and/or Cousins there than if he had signed with MSU to begin with. People would be calling for him to start next year.

for all the people ripping on the kid in the past, the situation is still not as bad as Boren leaving SCum for OSU so i think we can all give the kid a fresh start and let his play on the field determine things

I never hated on him. Not sure I even posted on him. You could check it out but I don't remember. If it is true that he is transferring here then welcome, because you are (or will be) a Spartan. With that stated, he has a LONG way to go to prove that it is worth giving him another shot at MSU. In my opinion (which isn't worth anything here, anywhere?), he has to SHINE here, play GREAT and bring all the "intangibles" too. All success or failure on the field is judged (or should be) post playing career. It will be a failure (IMO), if he is not awesome for us.
**Please note, I did NOT write he will be a failure. His life will not nor should not be judged based on a few years of playing a game.**

I'm up in the air. My problem was never that he went to OU, it was just the way it was handled. I'm going to have to assume he came to MD hat in hand. I'll trust Coach D on this one.
