let me state that this is SWEEEET!
KN will have a year to learn the system and the competition will be on next spring for the starting job. This can only result in a better QB for MSU in 2009....with Baker and Caper.
another thought, how does this affect recruiting??? doesnt affect Maxwell, but can we get more players now given you can almost put Nichol into our 2009 recruiting basket. That is basically 7 4*s.

I'd say that the odds on those are pretty low. You're probably safe.

Not likely, as Cousins, Foles, and Nichol run out of eligibility the same year.

was reading a post a week or less ago about Cousins transferring... wants to be a starting QB, and it appeared Foles had the nod.
And between Foles and Cousins, one of them will get plenty of snaps this coming year and is only one play away from being the starter...

SO, is he on scholarship for this coming year? iirc, Trevor Anderson had to pay his own way at MSU last year, and i remember that uc held his scholly, so does KN have to pay his own way for one year as well, or does he go on full ride? I know that OU released KN, but did they release his scholly at the same time? imo, having KN on board is a win win. It will force some good competition between the QB's and hopefully no matter who wins out, they will be better as a result.

I searched for my posts in that thread and I was slightly surprised to find I was consistent with my general view on the situation.

I think we can go ahead and delete this entire thread. Produce a link or stop wasting our time.

maybe it was just a big joke. If so, AA Spartan should be fired because he changed the original thread title.

I saw it at 6:25, now it's gone. Just said that the coaches let the current QB's know on Friday, I'm guessing last Friday but maybe they put the article up a day too soon. That would be a HUGE oops.

Relax, Eugene. There are several threads on the Underground Bunker about the story - which means it was there, but for some reason it got pulled... Look for it in a little while.

I'm sure they took it down to make a couple edits. Saying Friday was a typo.
