he did , it was one of the first things he said at the big ten media days and in interviews before that. Hoyer was the guy and nichol knew it.
Hoyer also played basically the entire minny game as well so it was really 2 full games.

Hmmmmm.... not really sure why this was deleted, so I'll post it again:
Keith Nichol will be making stupid decision if he comes here over a MAC school. We have Foles and Maxwell, we don't run a spread offense, and I don't think he's proven anything to anyone at the collegiate level besides the fact that he's inconsiderate to new coaches and he's a quitter.
He completely overhyped, he has a terrible attitude, and he's unproven, and people are getting waaaaay too excited about him.

because he was a true frosh and hoyer had far more college playing experience. New System or not Hoyer WAS the succesor face it. Dantonio said as much in one of his first pressers BEFORE nichol decommited.
OU thought they had no QB, keep in mind they started a converted wr the year before and bradford had never taken a college snap. Nichols competition at OU was a rs-frosh and a juco and at MSU hoyer was embedded. Everyone around the program knew it. MSU was also comming off 4-8 and 3 bowl-less seasons where as OU was comming off of multiple bcs trips.
Please stop being a revisionist and come back to planet Earth.

Mass RCMB specultion ensues. Posters begin lining up for imminent Pro/Anti Nichol DSF
