Someone care to explain to this poster about Gary Nichol's "Solid" garuntee?

Here is my reaction and I hope the haters take time to think this through:
Did you ever make a mistake when you were 17?
We all did. So give the kid a break. He's a talented kid that loved MSU in the beginning and loves MSU enough to come back knowing he'll take some guff over it. That takes guts and we need to welcome him, not make it harder for him. He was 17, think about that for a moment.
If he leads us to many victories in the future, we'll all see this whole thing as a blessing in disguise. Go State!

agree, forgiving the kid and allowing him to compete certainly isn't going to hurt anything.

1.) Personally, I'm ready to welcome Keith with open arms. It cracks me up that some people hold it against the kid that he bailed on - let's face it, not the U, but John L. ... the guy we thought was driving the program to destruction... the one we all wanted gone. We ought to applaud the kid for good judgement, not be upset with him about pulling out of his verbal. He was 17, an elite high school QB, and perched to possibly ruin his career behind a shakey, face-slapper of a coach. I think it fair to give him a chance. If he has indeed transferred to MSU, it's time to bury the hatchet and support the kid. Once a Spartan, always a Spartan. We should treat him as such.
2.) I find it a little alarming at those willing to throw stones here. How many of you know the inside details of Keith's situation? How many know the kid or the family? I happen to be close to members of the Lowell staff. All they can say is that this is a character kid, who works his butt off, and has the talent to be a legit Big 10 QB. Step off a little!

While I agree that the kid should not be scorned, the kid left BECAUSE slappy got fired.

FWIW - From what I have heard from inside the Lowell staff, his departure was in the works prior to the slappy fire. But, I don't know Keith personally, just second hand.
