If Nichol does transfer to MSU I will not question his character, in fact I will acknowledge that he has some balls. Consider that he will not be able to transfer again to a major program, yet he choses a school that already has 2 qbs in his class. Nevermind the negative attention that some of our fans have dumped on him and his family. He must really like MSU to be willing to to face not only the competition, but also some of our more hostile fanbase.
How to you compare a kid transferring to the school where the coach who originally recruited him went, to a kid dumping one school for a better offer, washing out there, then going to the first school?!

All JLS did was continue the bull**** set forth by BW. Mentally weak teams, too many penalties, and not nearly enough wins. The money he gets for not coaching MSU is all the support he deserves.

Agreed agreed agreed agreed.

All the Paul K worshipping Nichol fanatics have gone to bed apparently. Four hours ago they were painting welcome banners, knitting welcome mats, popping bottles, and planning our 09 offensive schemes.

Whatever QB wins the job turns and hands the ball to Baker.

Didn't bother to read through the thread and will continue to be a anti-Nichol. I have no use for some retread.

Should we tell Trevor Anderson to pack his bags?

Did I miss something? Did he commit to MSU and claim all is well before backing out at the last second?

The kid is a transfer. Just like Nichol. If he comes here and you spend his entire career bashing him...that's pretty sad.

KN obviously knows he screwed up, if he comes to MSU, it was where he wanted to be in the first place. He left because JLS got canned. He had people chirping in his ear, he listened, and made a bad choice.

Even if he transfers to MSU, he is no worse off, nor are we. He wouldn't have played in front of Hoyer. If he comes to MSU, the experience he will have will almost be like he was here all along.

I welcome him if he comes back officially, QB competition is an awesome thing to have. I never saw Cousins as a threat to Foles, now Foles has a threat. Only going to make Foles and KN work harder to get the job for 2009. Cousins won't be in the competition, and Maxwell will be years away.

I think the center of the argument is it was where he said he wanted to be in the first place, well, until a slightly better program came calling. Then all of that "lifelong fan" and "true spartan" stuff went right out the window. Oh, and a year later, I guess he can flip back on the "true spartan" switch again and we can feel really solid with his commitment to our program, right?
