The story wasn't pulled because he couldn't get verification. The story was pulled because they didn't have the consent of the father to run with it. They were going to follow up with them before putting it back out there.

I was a freshman that year and I blamed Clark for sucking but now I realize that he never had a chance to be successful the way most walk-ons are treated. Also, he was dating (eventually married) the hot chick on the street where I grew up in Southfield (Lori Curcio (sp?)).
