I don't trust them anymore. They are at Hondo's level in my opinion. I wish that wasn't the case because I like Jim Comp's work.

I'm sure by the fall, I will have forgotten about this. I hope so anyways.
Aren't you over reacting? It's one misstep. Held up against their body of work I just don't see why this is such a big deal. They took a calculated risk, the missed the mark, they pulled down the story. So what? They didn't report Izzo to coach football, nor were they making up stories about kids in D.C. that were supposed to have a football scholarship offer.

I don't understand how Rexode was able to call the other two QBs' parents and Paul/Jim weren't able to do that, but still maybe Jim and Paul are busy with personal stuff and Rexode was sitting around with nothing to do so he thumbed through the Rolodex.

Wait, why do I care enough to type up a 2 paragraph SM apology.

So like i said before,Nichol is coming to MSU and anyone saying otherwise is flat out wrong and will look like a fool when the Mag is given the go ahead to put the story back up.
"He's in the process of making a decision, and it's his intention to be enrolled in a summer program so he can participate in workouts with a team," his father, Gary Nichol, said Thursday night. "No school is out of the picture."

I hear South Central Louisiana State will guarantee him the starting job.

I've been out of town for a week, and had no idea any of this was happening.

Is it weird that I couldn't care less either way?

I would consider that weird, considering it potentially could have a big impact on the program...

I thought we would have an update by now on Keith Nichol's status? Even an update saying "The Nichol family is not returning phone calls" or, "is saying they are still sorting things out". Instead just nothing??

I can only assume that it means that it is a done deal and the press are cooperating with requests to keep this on the DL for a period of time.

Maybe the family and the press are giving Coach D time to talk it through with Foles and Cousins. I am sure he wants them to know exactly where he stands on their future with MSU.

I love that the thread title keeps changing "No, there's no KN update, go spend time with your family" or "No, there's no KN update, the Wings are on though."

I think a lot of people are assuming that MSU is where KN wants to end up, but I think taking his father at his word when he says ""No school is out of the picture" is the thing to do. Yeah, he's been FOS before, but since that statement works to KN's advantage in securing the best deal, it's probably true.

Also, the situation for KN & MSU is totally different now. KN just washed out of a pro-style O at OU, similar to the O MSU runs. He's probably better suited to um's O than MSU's because it would take advantage of his mobility, and is more like JLS's O than MSU's. Regardless of what was reported on Spartan Mag. I doubt KN ends up at MSU. This is his last chance at finding the right situation to see the field, so he has to go to an O that A) is lacking good QB talent and he's likely to win the job, AND B) his talents are featured, which I'd think is a spread O.
