As awesome as the opening tune of Three's Company's is, as soon as I heard Perfect Strangers I still know almost all of the words

and reading rainbow is gay

Wow, I'm getting major flashbacks of my childhood by watching these intros.

This was TV at its best, and nobody can convince me otherwise.

I'd vote for any of the 8 versions of the Cosby Show before any of those. So 'Other'

I'm partial to Growing Pains, but I had to go with Perfect Strangers simply because of all the Chicago stuff (I know that doesn't have to do with the song, but whatever).

I agree about the million different Cosby songs though. I think my favorite is the acapella version, or the first one.

You forgot a critical 80's theme song (hence why I voted for Other):

What, no Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life or Golden Girls?

This is what I was going to say as well, but it appears youtube doesn't have the other show intro listed. Instead of starting with the kick drum, it started out with a horn section. I believe it was early years of the show that they had that intro.

Wonder Years should be eliminated because it isn't a true theme song.

I went with Growing Pains which beat out Family Ties by a hair just because it was more upbeat. Both bring back so many memories of growing up. Instantly I can remember every girl I had a crush on and the stupid crap I did.

good calls with cosby show and macgyver. I knew I'd leave out some that I just forgot and some that other people liked, hence, 'other.'

tho the cosby show was a great show, i dont think the song tops most of the original list
