In the SEC I don't see them as being the East Champs...and yeah I'm sure that'll piss the Dawg fans off.

Pistons in 7. Win at Boston by a late 3 by Billups. (The way they beat Washington at home to be the only road win of that round).

Someone hit a late bucket to walk out with a 1 pt win. I can't remember who...but the Crystal Skull that I am looking into says that's how it'll go down.

Oh, you mean the chosen team who just went 7 games with 2 teams who didn't even win 50?
Everyone keeps talking about how great they are, the celtics are a lot less intimidating than LA with Gasol, or the Spurs.
I can't wait to see Chauncey back at full strength . . . . do you think he'll be 100%? (Back to the whole "Ask ISparticus" purpose of the thread)

Agreed! I have been at their performance...even my boy who is a die hard Celtics fan won't put money on the series.
As for Chauncey...I don't think you are ever 100% from a groin injury without months off. I think he'll tough it out...but I see him pulling off a Mateen- MSU/NC performance where he limps back out of the locker room in game 7.

Should be a great series, the Garnett - Sheed match-up should be one for the ages as will the new "Play-off Prince" version of Tay vs. "The Truth" (one of the most annoying sports nicknames of all time). Our back-court has a huge advantage over their counterparts, though Rondo will probably take Chauncey off the dribble a few times/game before Billups gets him in foul trouble on the other end. Hamilton has raised his game while Allen's has faded, though I wouldn't be suprised if Allen goes for 20 one night.
McDyss should be another big plus, no way Powe and Perkins are in his class. If Antonio throws in another 17-13 game like he did the night his g-ma died. . . .well that game will go to the Pistons. Overall, I see the 3 positions that favor the Pistons, PG, SG and C while the Celtics have a slight advantage at PF and a moderate advantage at SF (Pierce will likely score 5-10 points more per game than Tay will; Defense will take too much energy from Prince to make him a main scoring threat, while PP is the #1 option for the celts)
The bench I'd say is equivelant, with Boston's being better defensively and Detroit being better offensively (Stuckey, Maxiell > Posey/Cassel/House on offense, though Hunter will eat house alive if they match-up defensively).
Overally, two very even teams, with Detroit getting an advantage with rest and having several young players stepping up in Tayshaun and Stuckey. Would like to see Max get going some more . . . and that's my only complaint, really.

Detroit HAS to be hungry for rebounds. It'll determine this series. So far, Celtics have an average of 12-15 more per game...so McD and the boys better be hitting the glass hard.

Sounds like a plan for me . . . does it seem like McD gets most of our "hustle" boards? He just kind of flings himself after every loose ball. . . .he wants this more than any other Piston, and that's saying a lot. I really think this team is hungry for the first time since 2004.

Which one should I settle on? The uber-hot 43 year old ex-cheerleader with kids in tow or the really turbo-cute 19 year old freshness? Both are brunette. The 43 year old is taller, the 19 year old is cute and petite-ish. Both have big knockers.
And no, neither one is into threesomes.
And no, I can't afford to run with both as I am under employed.

If you see Sheed flying in for boards, he's in it to win it. I wouldn't bet against them if ol' boy gets mad.
