Cleveland's starters just recently went over 50 consecutive innings w/o giving up an earned run. They have recorded an MLB leading 7 shut outs as a team and also have the MLB's lowest team ERA.

On the other hand, the Tigers have been shut out an MLB leading 7 times, have the 2nd worst team ERA in the majors only barely beating out lowly Pittsburgh, have recorded 0 shut outs as a staff, and are in the bottom third in fielding.

People are kidding themselves and are in denial by looking at the amount of games back the Tigers are.

Couldn't agree more...games back is the least of their problems...not only the stats that you stated above but I really question the team's desire...sitting behind the dugout on Sunday was a real eye opener for me...I moved from the "they'll bounce back" camp to "this could be a very long season" camp...

Those teams are going to stand still? Their fans are saying the same thing you are.

This is going to be a very long season and it will be an achievement if the Tigers finish much above .500 IMO.
yeah...wtf was up with cabrera on that catch. and miner needs to go to toledo, not galarraga.

from what i saw the only guys that seem like they care are pudge, inge, granderson, polanco and renteria.
