I have a dime and a half on under 93.5 wins this year. I LOVE the '08 Tigers so far!

I've had enough. Leyland needs to be fired. I was just casually watching the game with my friends last night who don't follow baseball much. I started flipping out and they were all surprised at such anger over a game, but I just can't take this **** any longer. This team is a laughing-stock, Leyland has no god damn idea what he is doing. Jesus almighty explain to me why in the ****ing world would you bring in Zach Miner in that situation last night Jim? We have Cruceta, Dolsi, Lopez all available and we bring in this loser Miner. I'm so upset even typing this.
A few things I've noticed about these overpaid ass-bags:
1. Leyland is such a little bitch. He will never get in any veterans grill. If it were me, I would've chewed both Guillen and Renteria out when they got in the dugout. That miscommunication costs us a game and nobody is held accountable.
2. Do they ever play small ball? Besides Renteria's attempt last night, when is the last time a guy on this team tried to drop down a bunt for a base hit? KC does this stuff all the time and maybe that's why they've SWEPT us TWICE!!!!!
3. Besides Pudge maybe, there are no emotional leaders on this team. Nobody ever gets fired up or pissed off, they just go through the motions, collect their paychecks and leave.
SOMETHING BIG needs to change sooner than later. Whether its releasing Sheffield or firing Hernandez and McClendon/Leyland. This pathetic **** should not be excusable.

are the tigers going to break out of this funk? doesn't look like it. the team chemistry is shot and leyland needs to do something to fix it.

I saw you on tv last night...was going to text you but then I changed the channel and forgot about it. You were sitting next to someone with Tigers gear.

Fixed it for ya.
In my honest opinion, I think the guys in the bullpen have done a pretty nice job. Leyland is just a dumb ass who continues to use Miner in pressure situations. Why? I have no idea.

nice
well i would also take the side of the tigers lack of offense to support the pitching staff. hell, bonderman pitched superbly last night (minus the homer to byrnes), and we give him 3 runs...that's it?!?!

Yup - aside from Miner, the bullpen has been very reliable.

You pretty much just summed up BASEBALL in its entirety. Thats why I cannot stand to watch MLB. Baseball players are a bunch of overpaid whiney little *******.

Any quality starting pitching from the Tigers this season has been an anomaly. Bondo had a great outing last night, but that has not been the norm. In fact, I think the Tigers are near or at the bottom of the majors in terms of quality outings from their starters.

Do you watch pro sports at all? Because baseball is nothing compared to the NBA or NFL. The MLB has problems with its biggest stars (read: Bonds, Sheffield, etc.), but the majority of the players play hard, especially the younger players.

however, when the offense doesn't score runs it's hard to really evaluate the starting pitching. unless of course they are giving up boatloads of runs like at the beginning of the season.
