Too bad Leyland hasn't ended his Guillen/Cabrera switching experiment. Cabrera needs to be at 3rd and Guillen needs to be at 1st.

Mario/Rod said the guys are all wearing their socks high.

Lets see what effect this takes.

Gotta love superstition in baseball.

Guillen makes a pretty awful fielder anywhere you put him these days. But I think Cabrera makes a much better 1st baseman than a 3rd baseman. Besides, considering how many outs that involve the 1st baseman on a given day, I'd rather have the decent fielder there, than the atrocious fielder.

OF course, what would make most sense is to put Sheff on the DL with his shoulder garbage, have Guillen play DH (obviously not this series, but for the future), and let Inge play again.

For now, they should just tell Guillen to sit in timeout and think about what he did wrong while Inge shows him how to throw across the diamond and catch pop-ups.

A couple of things before the first pitch:

Nice pregame piece on Gibby and his first minor league manager, Leyland.

Will Gibson be considered for a head coaching gig somewhere?

97 degrees in Zona. Wow

Blew a save for Cleveland. Reds won 4-2. So a chance to get within 5.

Guillen was fine at first last year and Cabrera played well at third in Spring Training. His leg injury early in the year really affected his ability to play third, but if he is healthy, I think he should be at third.

1-2-3 inning.

The entire team is standing at the dugout like a college team

That's an encouraging sign.
