Seems pretty official to me.

"I cannot play this year. I can use this as my redshirt year. I won't lose any eligibility. I will be able to learn the system a little bit. Coach Dantonio says I have a really good chance to come in and compete. He said he thinks I am the kind of guy who can take them to a championship or he would not be asking me. That is what he says to all the athletes at MSU. He is not going to guarantee a spot to anybody. I like that."

"I feel like I belong at MSU," Nichol said. "I have a lot of family and friends there. I feel that I can continue my college football experience there and go to school there are and be happy."

I think everybody makes mistakes and poorly thought out decisions...especially when they're 17. God knows I have. If Dantonio can forgive and forget, so can I.

I really wish I would have saved that envelope that had my acceptance letter in it. Then I could have scanned the "Congratulations You're A Spartan" and then put it in this thread.
