Honestly, in terms of foreign players, over-spending for players, etc., Chelsea blow everyone in the Premiership away.

By contrast, Chelski has been known to spend £30million on the likes of Shevchenko, simply because Roman has the rubles to do so.
Also, as a "foreigner" myself, I honestly don't really care how many Englishmen play for Arsenal. Its kind of ironic that Arsenal is the only English-owned club with a traditional board setup in the Top 4, yet their squad is the least English
Fair enough point on the first paragraph. I guess what raised my ire a bit was that he is a United fan, but at the same time he seemed to be ripping United for starting so many foreigners. He said these guys "often start"....(proceeded to list a bunch of international players)...."as opposed to Rooney, Hargeaves, Carrick, Scholes, Ferdinand, Brown, Neville..." The English players he listed (apart from Neville due to injury this year) are much more regular starters than a lot of the internationals that he mentioned.
My apologies, I'm not as well versed as you, I only started following United a couple years ago, and being that I live in South Dakota, there aren't a lot of fans out here for me to chat with.
I wasn't ripping on United for starting foreign players, I was pointing out to whomever I quoted that United isn't as England heavy as he was stating. Just pointing out their foreign players, my bad on the Anderson nationality by the way, at this point he just seems like a vastly overpaid substitute, but Sir Alex probably knows something I don't.
Shaka Hislop on ESPN crew. Awesome. The announcers also ripping on Ronaldo for acting.
How much better than every other player does he have to be so that people stop b"tchin about this?? ONLY 41 goals... get real. Also, try to watch ANY game, especially the Serie A, without major floppage... Not excusing it... its just the way it is.

Korea), Giggs (Wales), O'Shea (Ireland), Pique (Spain), Kuszczak (Poland) as opposed to Rooney, Hargeaves, Carrick, Scholes, Ferdinand, Brown, Neville...
Chelsea's got a bunch too, I think they each have a nice balance of international flavor.
FTR, I'm wearing my Rooney kit loud and proud today
UNITED!
The thing was "relatively speaking" as compared to the other Top 4. United and Chelsea offer way more English flavor. United starts Brown, Ferdinand, Hargreaves, Scholes, and Rooney. Chelsea goes with Ashley and Joe Cole, Terry, and Lampard. Arsenal... NO regular English starters (Wenger must have something against Walcott, who is miles superior to Eboue but is still benched). Liverpool has Gerrard and Carragher... and I guess you could count Crouch, with an asterisk because he hardly ever starts.

Seedorf an announcer on ESPN?!? They are really serious about this stuff. Seedorf was awesome last weekend for AC. He must be hurting wanting to play in this game.

But enough with this, UNITED!
No problems. I didn't mean to go off on you. Anderson has a bright future. He's only 20 years old. Not your typical flashy brazilian, but more of the hard nosed type midfielder. I think he'll benefit tremendously learning under Scholes, Carrick, and Hargreaves.
In any event, not that anyone cares, but I'm going dark until probably well after midnight. Due to work, I'm not able to watch the game live (I'm more or less my own boss, so it has more to do with urgent work that needs to get done rather than a boss not letting me go). And I probably won't be able to watch it until 10-11p. Heck, kick off time in Moscow is 10:45 pm, so I'm just going to put myself in that frame of mind, and tell myself the game doesn't take place until late tonight (yeah, that will work). So I must avoid the internet like a plague. I've warned my in-laws that if they see anything on the news, don't tell me (they're Spanish-speakers from Chile, and it WILL be on the 6pm Spanish news).
BleedinGreen, here's to a good, fair match, with no penalties for either side, especially not controversial ones, and an overall entertaining game that shows off the best of the best about the English game.

Seedorf is one of my all-time favorite midfielders... even if he played for Real Madrid

In your defense of Ronaldo you concede he is a diver He is really good and probably the best in the world right now but he is a cheater. I'm sure all you "England fans" hated him in the World Cup and yet now he is your hero? I'm sorry but I am going to take a little more stock in what Shaka Hislop says than what you are blabbing on about. I don't care how many goals you score, if you cheat on a consistent basis like Ronaldo, I will not simply ignore it and look the other way. He cheats and if he can just eliminate that from his game, then he will be a truly amazing player.
To the best of my knowledge the only Englishman who even makes their bench is Walcott but I could be wrong.
yep you are wrong....
walcott has been on the bench this year.... justin hoyte has been on the bench, we do have youngsters comign thru, kieron gibb, mark randall, gavin hoyte (justins younger brother)
we do produce kids.... if they are not good enough for us they go elsewhere.... cashley cole, david bentley, jermaine pennant, steve sidwell, james harper, matt upson, anthony stokes ect ect
even if you want to go back in time, andy cole was one of ours.....
