Could you imagine what some of those would be worth now-a-days?
It's too late to hit up eBay, but I'm guessing probably something like "tens of dollars each"?

P.S. Only one I ever wrote was Christina Ricci. I got a signed picture back about 5-6 months later.

Sent photos, newspaper clippings, anything I could think of to get them to go out with me, all I ever got was an auto'd 3x5 of Nancy. No letter back, just the photo. Went a few times to see filmings, even went to Disneyland to see Lisa in the Mickey Mouse Club performances, never even got close to her. Tried it with Justine Bateman also, no luck. I know...way to full of myself at the tme. Hey, it was worth a shot. I lived like 45 minutes away, it would have worked!
Has the restraining order been lifted yet?

Don't my dad during the 60s collected a huge amount of autographs which is mother threw away because she thought they were rubbish...

for example he had: All four Beatles Autographs on one page.
All the autographs of the Rolling Stones, The Kinks and The Who.
Also Dean Martin, Katharine Hepburn and a load of others I can't remember off hand.

He is most indignant to this day about losing the Beatles and the Rolling Stones ones

You can't let poster x off the hook for that.....the kid didn't want to be associated with the board in front of his old man, and certain posters stalked him out with blatant disregard to that request and snapped pictures of him.

What do I care... I really don't. But it wasn't just the note that drove him off. It was the progressive creepiness, which was perpetuated first by posters seeking him out for pictures while he sat and watched basketball games with his dad.

Whateva.
Bingo

Dude! Everybody knows the best way to get great autographs is to scale the walls of their compunds, wait in their bushes until they pull out of their garage, and run up to get one in person.

Their autograph should be somewhere on the restraining order.

A few summers ago, I mailed a newly purchased Kitty Carlisle Hart cassette tape to her and asked that she adorn the insert with her signature. Not only did she sign and return the cassette to me in a timely fashion, but she also took the time to include a short, handwritten note to me on a piece of her personalized letterhead. What a wonderful gesture by a famous, enduring symbol of Americana. The day she passed is still the darkest, saddest time in recent memory. We should all be thankful for the time we had such a wonderous treasure among us.
