As far as I can tell, no Big Ten team has released its basketball schedule to date, so the delay must have something to do with the conference schedule.

UMHoops has a source who says the schedules (or at least UM's schedule) won't be coming out in the near future:

Schedule, Tickets, and Recruiting | UM Hoops.com

Here's the info on the major nonconference games I've pieced together, although I think this thread actually has more info:

Nov. 10th (H) Exhibition vs. Lake Superior St.
Dec. 13th and Dec. 17th- (H) Holiday break games. Alcorn State and The Citadel. Don't know which team we play on each day but these are the opponents.
LSSU and Alcorn haven't released schedules but Citadel is the 17th so Alcorn could be the 13th

For more than two months, those associated with the Purdue men's basketball team have been waiting to release the 2008-09 schedule to the public.

Problem is, the Big Ten Conference has asked - more like mandated - that Big Ten schools wait until all TV is set before releasing the schedule.
TV scheduling is the problem.

No question about it, the League is trying to figure out how MSU can play IU only at home and have Wisky play at IU twice.

I googled Michigan State basketball schedule and found us listed on Lake Superior State's bball schedule. In my email from the ticket office over the summer they mentioned Alcorn State and The Citadel as Izzone mini plan games (when students were on break). That email is also how I found out about Oakland at the Palace.

So does that mean the Kansas game is part of the izzone ticket package?

Ok so that means our schedule is

Nov 5: Exhibition
Nov 10: Exhibition (Lake Superior St.)
Nov 16: Idaho
Nov 19: at IPFW
Nov 27: vs Maryland at Old Spice Classic
Nov 28: vs OSU/Gonzaga at Old Spice Classic
Nov 30: vs Tenn/Siena/WichitaSt/GTown at Old Spice Classic
Dec 3: vs UNC at Ford Field
Dec 7: Bradley
Dec 13: Alcorn State
Dec 17: Citadel
Dec 20: vs Texas at Houston
Dec 27: vs Oakland at the Palace
Jan 10: Kansas

That's 12 nonconference games. Do you think that is all of them?

I posted in a different thread that my source told me a couple weeks ago not to expect the BT schedule to be released until mid-Sept or Oct and it was because of the aforementioned TV scheduling. The schedule from what I've heard will look very close to the one from last year as far as which teams we will play, ie um is only on the schedule once and its not at home.

So they're expecting us to buy tickets before knowing when we play everyone?

Edit: Just noticed there was a new thread started on this. My bad.
