tOfficial Wall-E Thread
Is anyone else really excited to see Wall-E? It's been getting amazing reviews thusfar (TopCritics at Rotten Tomatoes have it at 100% right now and overall it's like 97% because of two assbags who are clearly looking to get attention by listing it as "Rotten").
I really can't wait. I've laughed at every preview I've seen. It looks like it has the potential to fight for the top spot amongst Pixar movies. I'm going to be disappointed if it doesn't at least end up #2 to Finding Nemo in my book.

I am normally hyped to see Pixar movies...this one just doesnt do it. I will have to hear from friend/neighbors.
Regardless, kids want to see it, so I am going to see it.
Most of their movies are very very good. Ratatouille was amazing...based on a rat and still very good.
edit: Pixar has announced Toy Story 3 in 2010 and Cars 2 in 2012.

My 4yr old son has been hyped to see it since seeing posters at Disney World in February. I think we were the first people to buy a Wall-E action figure. Will be seeing it on Sunday. First time going to the movie theater in over a year. WOO HOO! I get to add review from watching a movie in a theater and not from DVD.

Pixar is awesome. The Incredibles is one of my favorite movies of all-time. Wasn't a big Nemo fan (if the fish has just listened to Dad....), other than that I love them all. If you like quirky humor and amazing computer animation, Pixar is the best.

Went to the 12:01 showing this morning.
It was a great movie. John Ratzenberger continues his streak of appearances in the Pixar movies.
Not so many "inside" jokes but I was still laughing throughout the movie. It was well done. Also....there isn't much dialog.
Edit: Oh....for you Mac users....you will notices a couple sounds in the movie, and one of the character's voice is done with MacInTalk.

I get to see Wall-E for free because my high school robotics team is showing off their robot at the theater to try and generate interest for the movie. They asked me to be there so I get a free ticket The movie looks good.

Look at the comments for the reviewer that gave it a rotten rating:
WALL-E - Movie Reviews, Trailers, Pictures - Rotten Tomatoes
Seems he "accidentally" deleted his review (and all the negative comments associated), so he had to post it again. People took this really well...
I'm sure Wall-E will be great. I don't know if they'll ever be able to top Incredibles though. I like most Pixar movies in a different type of way than normal movies (as in I really like them, but they'll never be Jurassic Park, Matrix, Star Wars, Godfather, etc), but Incredibles rose above that and actually was good for both the reasons I like Pixar movies, and just as a movie in general.
To date, I've enjoyed all of the Pixar movies, except Cars, which was sort of boring. Ratatoullie (sp?) I think put them back on track, and I think Wall-E will keep them running.
Also, Pixar =

Just saw the 1100 am showing. The first 45 minutes or so while he was on Earth just kind of roaming was cute, funny, touching all that stuff I never thought I would ever say about a kids movie. The rest of the movie was more typical fare and just OK.

Well, if you count this one now, two.
I just didn't like Cars too much. This is coming from a guy who loves Incredibles and Toy Story, I liked Monsters Inc. too.
Cars was lame because they included Larry the Cable Guy. I almost walked out when he said "git 'er done"
Ratatouille, didn't want to see. The basic Pixar formula now is: Lonely character + Find his purpose in life + Fall in love = Big Disney summer blockbuster cash cow.
