Yes, my starting the game thread has a lot to do with the play on the field. Also this didnt stop your ass for starting a bunch of game threads last year when we were sucking ass.
I'm done with game threads. Its not like it used to be. Now we have a bunch of whiners and bandwagon ******* on here. Yes, the season is now over 2 days after we were sucking each others dicks around here on how this team has turned it around.

That's what you told me last year, when I started them. What goes around comes around. You gave me a hard time last year, now it's your turn.
And I highly doubt you are done (just like you were done with starting game threads right)? You will be back.

day to day. He batted in the 7th or 8th inning trying to get a homer. But he could barely walk without limping.

I like how people get worked up on the "starting the official game x" thread conversations. Some people got really perturbed, especially during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, if another person started the thread. Some were actually asking others for permission!
I think I might start 70 individual "official" threads right now, calling all the Tigers games. Plus one or two for a few Olympic Events. And some golf majors....
Just kidding

I'm giving Rox a hard time because thats all he did last year for me. He always got upset when I started game threads .
AA Spartan actually deleted some of my game threads.

the intentional walk is almost always f$#$#ing stupid unless the runner on 3rd is the winning run (last of the 9th).
even when it "works" (i.e. the next batter doesn't hit a HR) half the time it doesn't work because you advance the batting order for the opponents and you hand them free baserunners, and you magnify the problems caused by subsequent opposing batters, and you set up big innings in subsequent innings by allowing the opposing offense to start deeper in the order, plus you add to the deterioration of your pitcher's confidence by saying "you suck, you can't get this guy out."
Babe Ruth is dead. Screw intentional walks.

I started all but 3 or 4 threads for the Wings and someone else was so excited that they started the Game 5 thread. Of course the Wings lost Game 5 so it was decided that I would start the thread for Game 6.
When I got home and sat down at my computer at 6pm to start the thread, another person had just done so. So that person's thread was deleted.
Superstition. That's all.

That is lame, on both of those people.
I'm not gonna name names (see: Hop Sing's), but I know someone who would have blown a gasket if I started a Stanley Cup game thread. Like it was his right. I left well enough alone.

I would for sure intentionally walk Brandon Inge.

I've missed most of this game and last night's, how are the Mud Hens doing filling in for the Venezuelans defensively and offensively (based on the score I'm guessing the latter hasn't been great).

Pretty crappy day for baseball. Tigers are getting pounded this afternoon and by the looks of the radar I won't be heading to the park tonight for our city league game. That means I should probably head to the bar.

I've played on Wednesdays for the last 4 years and I'm convinced it's the only day of the week that it rains.

Ya know, I think your right. Weve had two games cancelled this year, one weds and one that sunday where the huge line of storms came thru. It really does seem like Weds. is a rain day.
Either way, I guess it means I'm going to the bar early.
