We had some pretty large explosions here last night, in the distance I kept on hearing the launch but no explosion, it was slightly disturbing. Its 9 am and people are already starting with more fireworks, damn they only stopped about 3 hours ago.

Some ******* was launching them off until the wee ours of the morning.

Earlier I was hoping for some horrible accident, to hear the explosion then hear "oh no!" followed by a lot of screams!! LOL!

People were shooting off professional grade fireworks in Wicker Park(Chicago) from their rooftops for 4 straight hours last night. It kicked ass, some were just plain high explosives. I am surprised about Novi though, I lived there and in Northville growing up and the cops have a very low tolerance for anything above a sparkler.

You know the greatest thing about 7/4 being on a Friday? You get 7/3 fireworks because no one has to work the next day, you get 7/4 fireworks because it's 7/4 AND no one has to work the next day, and you get 7/5 fireworks because no one has to work the next day! It's like daylight here in my neighborhood right now.

Not to mention it gives tonight a little bit of a Sunday night feel, but it isn't Sunday which is better. Hooray for three day weekends beginning on Friday.

Memorial day and Labor day weekends can't even compare, because generally have to go to work the next day. Those holidays need to be moved to Fridays dammit.
