How the F did anyone in Virginia know who the hell this guy was unless he went around advertising it. If you get right down to it, in reality 99% of Americans wouldn't be able to tell him apart from any other Vietnamese guy.

I'm pretty sure someone knew and disclosed it to the rest of the town, they spray painted "we know who you are" on the door and that was enough for him to close up shop.
