Other? Those are mostly some crappy root beers, though IBC isn't terrible.

They're all fantastic. To say one sucks or they all suck is stupid.

A&W is best from an actual A&W location.. and not some of the crappy fast food ones that are springing up, but the original, sit-down (or drive-up) diner locations.

I will retract my comment about A&W if we're talking about the stuff they have on tap at their restaurants. But some other good stuff is Sprecher's, Souix City Sarsasparilla, Stewart's is pretty good, Goose Island makes a good root beer.
Also, if anyone remembers Blue Coyote (was near Oldsmobile Park in Lansing), they made a pretty good root beer too.
Perhaps I was too harsh in my original post, but that's like saying, "What is the best beer? Miller Lite, Budweiser, Coors Light, or PBR?" I enjoy all of them, but would rather have Bell's. Speaking of which, Bells should brew a root beer.

Goose Island makes a really good root beer.
They used to carry it at Costco before they switched to Sprecher.

Pretty much. IBC is the best of those but for my money Michigan Brewing Company is the best rootbeer you can get in the lansing area. If they still make it that is.
Fun Fact, I actually live where Blue Coyote used to be, they turned it into apartments a few years ago. If you see a little addition popping off of the roof, that's my apartment.

If you are in Kzoo try the Olde Peninsula Brewpub's made in house root beer.
Never ask for root beer in Australia. Root is an Aussie euphemism for f***
