Almost a mil for warming the bench? Yikes.

Well at least now he'll be playing for a coach who loves to give plenty of playing time to rookies and inexperienced young players.

Good thing he left early, he might not be in this position now...

I still don't really get how he's not at least a solid rotation player somewhere. I see some of these other jokers playing in the league and am convinced Brown should be better. I can see Mo Ager not doing so well, but I really thought he had a shot at playing quality minutes.

I guess that's why I'm not an NBA scout.

You think that extra year in college would've made him that much better? You know how much time he puts in practicing for an NBA team? Sure, it would've been better for us, but give me a break.

AA is no longer on the team. His agent screwed that up...

Sam. Fired him because MJ got a boner to hire his old UNC buddy, Larry Brown.

He made $900,000+ during what would have been his Senior season. If I made $2.6 Million in the first 3 years post college, I would be pretty damn happy. Hell, people on here like to brag about making half of what Shannon makes in a year.

This seems like it should be a good fit for Shannon. Even Coach Brown at Cleveland said all he needed was playing time, something the Cavs did not have for him, neither did Chicago.

With the Bobcats, he should be able to see the court, plus he'll have Jason Richardson as a teammate.

I wonder if Shannon's car has giovanni rims black color, leather seats, and tinted windows?

Unfortunately, SB pretty much plays the same position as JR, who is arguably the Bobcats' best player.

Although the possibility of L. Brown dog-housing JR because he doesn't "play the right way" can't be discounted either.

One thing is absoutely certain: whoever is on the roster now, you can bet by about December LB will be stomping his feet, pounding his fists, demanding Jordan move out about 9 players for guys who will play "Larry Brown basketball," and if he doesn't, Brown will start tanking games by starting goofy lineup combinations calculated to demonstrate to the world what idiots the team management are for not instantly leaping to comply with his roster demands.

A week or two after that, of course, you'll start to hear the rumors of LB looking to jump jobs.

Hey NumbNuts, if they offered me a 1,000,000 contract to sit on the bench I would take it and fly with it. With all of the money Shannon Brown made so far he is set for life. I personally think that making it on an NBA roster is the toughest thing to do in US professional sports. There are just not too many slots for eeryone so just putting on an NBA uniform is an honor.

Great name very original by the way. What sucks is that he will probably make more money than we will combined in our lives. If NBA does not work Europe might be a great option for Shannon Brown since the euro is very storng now, and they are paying some serious $$$$$$$$$$. If I were him I would play in the NBA for a few more years and go to Europe to make more money. NBA guys going to play in Europe usually get paid top dollar.

How do you figure? JR/Gerald Wallace are in front of him. Unless he magically learned to handle the ball and play the point, he's not going to see anymore time.

I guess he should just give up now then, stay home in Illinois, because it's impossible to improve your game.

* BTW, this thread is now linked to this article on the WWW, come on Spartans, let's not kill SB before he takes the court.
