Good Mechanic in Lansing Area
I'm a little new to the area and I need a good reliable mechanic. Just looking for someone with free estimates that you can trust in the Lansing/East Lansing greater area. If you could give me any tips I would appreciate it!
TIA

The Auto Surgeon on Kalamazoo Street. Not the lowest prices, not the highest but Bill is as honest as they get. Plus he is a huge Spartan fan

Norris Auto Center on N. Larch St. (517) 482-9790 (1 block south of Olds Park).
Very good service. I have used them for years.

Check out Hidy's Towing (721 Chilson) on the North Side of Lansing. My family has been taking cars there for 20 years +. They are some of the best mechanics in the Lansing area. Free estimates, reasonable prices and as honest as they get. Phone is 517-482-4154.

They are good. I went to school with one of the Kildeas..they've been around for over 40 years.

Bump for any more options.
Possible solenoid issue, probable 3-4 clutch burnt out in my transmission.

I've had a good experience with Brogan's Tire Center.

Professional Fleet Services in Lansing on Kalamazoo (by Oldsmobile Park). Lansing Auto Repair, Auto Repair Lansing (517) 316-7999.
My mom met the owner Sam at BNI a few years ago and he's been doing our cars since. I brought him my bills from when I lived in Maryland last year and he quoted me about 60% of what I paid. Great, really friendly guy and works his ass off (does not lie to you and jerk you around like most mechanics I've used). If I can wait to fix stuff, I'll try to wait until I'm in MI so I can take it to him, can't always do that though since I live 10 hours away.
316-7999. Sam is the owner
