And to think, someone predicted them to go 11-1 this year...... seriously....

Pretty funny article by a reporter who apparently drinks the ND koolaid by the gallon.

I especially like this part:

Quote:
The situation at Ragone's position was different. He came in to continue ND's success at his position, not to revive it. He was so impressive last year as a true freshman that then-sophomore Konrad Reuland, the nation's best at the position when he signed at Notre Dame the previous year, transferred mid-year after Ragone leaped him on the depth chart.
Notice how the ND tight end who never even played was the "nation's best" when recruited, as opposed to the actual case "ranked as the nation's best by some recruiting services".

They are so living in denial. I was listening to Rivals Radio this weekend and one of the ND slappies was talking about how he was watching their live scrimmages and he said they looked SMALL and SLOW. Definitely not a good combination.

First time I've seen that in print. Frankly, I'm surprised they've put up with this failure as long as they have already.

The guy caught 1 pass for seven yards the entire season and they make it sound like they just lost Kellen Winslow..

I have to give them credit, they are building up their excuses ahead of time. That is good business, I guess.

ND fans don't rebuild excuses, they reload them.

Mel started watching MSU football in the late 90's and doesn't understand my hatred for ND because we beat them regularly now. I had to break out the media guide to show her some scores from the 80's. Their arrogant fans also keep me wanting to pound them over and over.

Not to mention their morbidly obese and arrogant head coach.

So, going 3-3 over the past 6 years constitutes beating a team regularly? Weird.

Care to extend those records to the late 90s like Trevor said?

He said "now". The late 90's are not a part of now.

In 1964, the SMB went to South Bend for the game, nd won. After the game, marching back to our buses, we were actually physically attacked by part of the student body. We had to defend ourselves with our instruments. (it was a good day to be a drummer). Hate isn't a strong enough word, at least for me.

Hated them since 66.

If we beat them by 60,

IT ISN'T ENOUGH!!!

I have no idea what you're talking about. We didn't play ND in 2006. Nope. Never happened. I'd remember it if we had.

Did this kid wipe out while trying to pop a wheelie on a moped like Winslow. Obviously this ND TE is no soldier.
