just south of where Fay was first tracked (who knows may Gustov will miss you)

Florida might also get hit by Tropical Depression Eight, which could eventually strengthen into Hurricane Search Function.

If it follows that centerline track that it is showing and the eye stays over water all the way through the strait of florida and into the gulf of mexico, then that thing could turn into a MONSTER. by the time it makes a US landfall somewhere on the gulf coast.

Exactly. And the current forecast is for minimal wind shear while it travels over very warm waters, which is a recipe for a extraordinarily dangerous storm.
Meteorologically yours,

You guys should visit New York for the weekend--our weather has been great and there are no pesky tropcial storms to ruin the fun.
Or you could stay in your rain-soaked hellholes high-fiving each other by flashlight about how much you hate northern winters.

As an ex-Manhattanite currently living in Florida, I gotta admit that this is funny.
