Off-topic Best Friend Dodged a Bullit

We have a 9 year old long haired German Shepherd, who woke up Saturday with neck glands the size of handballs. Took her to the vet, who did a biopsy and said there was a 95% chance it was lymphoma. Not a good weekend!

Today we got a call saying no lymphoma come get your anti-biotic prescription and hot rag her glands twice a day.

Good for you. My first dog, Bettis, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma and was gone within 2 months.

This dog is my favorite, can't imagine another like her. She's my fly fishing partner & gives me hell it I take too long getting my gear on once we get to the river, she's ready to fish! She's a talker, and gives it to me if I don't land a fish I've hooked. Totally hilarious, and the thought of fishing w/o her is unimaginable.

Great breed of dog. A close friend of my ex-wife is a breeder in Madison, and their pups are always in high demand. We had 3 females, each a couple years apart. Ex has them now. Wonderful dogs. Super intelligent, and easy to train. I know if/when I remarry, it would be the breed of dog I would most want.

They really are smart. This one watches my fly or strike indicator come downstream then gets excited on a rise or a strike. She's a water dog since I pulled her in when she was little.

She gets so many compliments that my wife has started calling her "the supermodel".
