Cal game / Stadium Question

Does anyone know if you can bring a back pack in the stadium - I want to bring my camera, jacket, etc and we will be out and about all day. I dont want to have to go all the way back to the hotel to drop it off.

You MAY bring a backpack; it will be searched and no beverage (of anything) will be allowed in.

fixed that

Cal has pretty weak security. I'd say 25-30% of the time they don't touch my backpack and only half the time am i even asked to open it. Sandwiches, snacks, etc. are all OK and recommended, Memorial concessions SUCK. tons of places to grab food(top dog, fat slice, etc.) or easily concealed libations on durant and bancroft on your way up the hill(couple of blocks from the stadium). I think bottled water and sodas are OK too(sealed), as are soft-side coolers. here's the official list from cal:
ITEMS PROHIBITED INSIDE STADIUM

For the Safety and Comfort of our Guests, the following items are prohibited inside Memorial Stadium:

alcoholic beverages
video cameras
cans or glass bottles
hard coolers
weapons or chains
illegal drugs
smoking
hard fruit
umbrellas
animals/pets
fireworks
frisbees
banners, sticks or poles
handcuffs
horns, noisemakers, or thunderstix
sale of unauthorized tickets & merchandise
placards, leaflets not approved in advance by Cal Athletics (call 510.642.2444 for info.)
Violation of these policies may be cause for non-entry, ejection from the stadium, and/or arrest.

Questions regarding tickets, please call the Athletic Ticket Office at (800) GO BEARS. Any other questions, please contact Cal Event Management at 510-642-6130.

GO BEARS!
