He updated his Facebook status 4 minutes ago, so I'd say he's fine.

I will miss Todd Jones. He WANTED to be in Detroit. Has the biggest heart on the team...He was loved in the clubhouse, and he was a great Tiger. Will always be one of my favorites.

They sure didn't help the cause

However, the rest of the pen totally sucked balls

That is why I hoped he would play better. How many people want to move to Detroit. With his candor and humor I would love to hear on the radio broadcast.

Todd Jones= average athlete...average arm...average pitcher...huge heart. I always thought he got the most with what he had... great teammate and great tiger. He would always talk to the media even when he had a horrible night.... he never hid..list all of the other tigers like him. Short list.

Jones was a Tiger, I'll never forget the picture of him sitting on the mound in an empty Comerica after game 4 of the ALCS.

That said, I hope we throw 100 million at Frod

You beat me to it on posting this picture.

That guy is 110% heart. I absolutely love that photo - it really does speak a thousand words. He has more passion and will to win than any of the haters in this thread busting on him. Seriously, if the entire team had the heart he did the Tigers would be 15 games up on the Chi Sox right now. At his age his ability may have left him but you can never take away an athlete's passion for the game. Either you have it or you don't.

Yeah, let's tear down a guy who is in the top 15 of all time MLB saves. Spot on.

I'll be raising my glass to Jonsey tonight. Truly a great Tiger. We'll miss you, buddy.

Yeah, I am not going to pretend like I never criticized or booed the guy ever--he did have his frustrating moments. But he was solid and did his job and had a lot of heart, and he clearly loved playing here. Like you said, if the other 24 guys had that make-up we are running away with this division right now. I never will understand all the hate.
