Man...why so much hate on me?

I ask a simple question yesterday about the possible dislike for LSU by MSU and the responses I recieved made it seem evident that there is alot of negative feelings towards LSU. So I post that I was suprised by that fact and I get bashed. I, personally like MSU and pull for them in football and basketball. I think MSU will be the surprise of the Big 10 this year and could be going to Pasedena this year barring any key injuries. I read this board alot so I decided to join, didnt expect the rough treatment right of the bat, but I understand it though. Good luck this week.

D-bags here treat each other like that, too. Nothing personal.

I'm actually somewhat a fan of LSU but, if I posted something on an LSU board about whether they might still have issues with us after we ripped them for "stealing" our coach and then saying, yeah, we told you that he'd leave soon, I would expect some less than friendly replies.

Fact is, LSU is NEVER mentioned here as far as a hated team. Never. So the question wasn't really relevant.

The initial disdain had more to do with Saban than LSU. I don't think there's any sort of widespread LSU hate amongst MSU fans.

It was just an extremely random thread and I think people were having fun with it for that fact. If you truly enjoy reading this board and want to post on it, you've got to get some thicker skin. Simple as that. Don't take any insult on here too personally...I'll cut somebody down on here with no thought, but I would feel like a complete ******* saying something to the poster in person. It's the nature of the board and message boards in general...for better or worse.

Assuming you aren't a schtick, hang around a little longer and join in the football discussions. LSU has a PHENOMENAL football program and has seen some great success in basketball in recent years. There's absolutely no reason to be so insecure, bro.

Yep.

And the Les Miles to UM rumors didn't help either

I don't think this board hates LSU. I think they hate bad posters.

No feelings were hurt by any means. I was just wondering why there were so many with hostile attitudes towards LSU, thats all. I really hope yall handle Michigan this year, and when I say handle I mean beat them badly. I have always thought they were almost always overrated due to their "tradition", just like Notre Dame. By the way, Lou Holtz has Notre Dame as his sleeper pick to play for the NC.

Thanks for the buddying up and rah rah rah for the Spartans.
But again to reiterate the point here.

It was your initial comment- it was as one poster put it in visual terms... completely out of left field.

It would be like some dude from Syracuse coming in here and being like,
why all the hate on Syracuse.

... I think we all have to look at each other and be like "what hate".

If there is any hate for LSU it would be for one of 2 reasons.
1. Nick "Grab-bags" $aban.
2. Les Miles- but really I think we all love him for the debacle he made the SCum coaching search- which is still worth reminiscing over from time to time.

No shtick here. Why do you ask? Is it because I actually do pull for MSU while being a huge LSU fan. Now of course if the two would meet up in a bowl, I would be pulling for LSU to put it on yall.

If we played LSU in a bowl anytime soon, I'd be too busy ****ting my pants in total rapture to care who you were cheering for.

I don't hate LSU because I for one, love SEC football.

I, however, wouldn't be heartbroken if Nick $aban were to drop dead.

I dont think someone from Syracuse asking that is anything like me asking about "hate" for LSU. You know after Saban bolted for LSU their was alot of bad feelings towards Saban and LSU. I was just wondering if the animosity had simmered down towards LSU.

Dude, it's been years since that happened. It's completely irrelevant to 99.999% of the people who post here.

Or, were you just fishing?

OMG Look at me! Look at me!

This is, what, like 3 threads on LSU, which is about three times the yearly average on this board. Stop complaining. No one really cares about LSU, especially not to the degree you are claiming. We are actually poking fun at you trying to create an issue.

BTW, Purple and gold look great on young coeds, but on a football team?

No more hate than any program deserves who gets the gift of playing in the national title game with two losses including one to (snicker) Kentucky. The fact that then beyotchslapped OSU is meaningless - they just never should have gotten the bid (thanks, Shred-Rod, for choking against Pitt to let LSU back into that game).

Aside from that, when I think of LSU, I first think of crappy basketball.

I have no feelings towards LSU. However, I did gain respect for Miles when he rejected UofM.

It was the right move to be made. The guy is coming off a NC title at a school in the south with lower admission restrictions.

In the 13 years I've run this site, the LSU fans from when we faced them in that bowl game were by far the worst I've ever dealt with. That's saying a lot considering that we've played Marshall since then.
