The first thing I thought of was Nancy Kerrigan.
The worst SNL ever, and that's saying a lot....

This episode could go down as the worst SNL in history...Phelps sucks as a talking person combined with the "talented" and not tv friendly Lil Wayne as the "musical guest."

It was understable back in the day of 3 networks and nothing else on. But I just don't get how they keep ppl's attention any more.
And I guess if your implication is that if you aren't a complete moron and are actually an ADULT, that you may not enjoy ppl just standing there, giggling into the camera, then you're prolly right.

You obviously haven't watched in a while, shocker. Open skit goes straight into a monologue which usually goes into an SNL commercial that's 15 minutes straight right there. Then skit, commericals, skit, commericals, Band, Weekend update, skit, commercial, skit, commercial, Band, etc
If the commercials are what pisses you off I guess you don't watch Football because they go to a commercial break all the time.........Just DVR it (that's Digital Video Recorder) after the opening skit pause it go smoke some pot and then FF through the commercials
For the record I'm 36 years old with 3 kids so i'm plenty of an Adult. I just don't prefer to pile on things I know nothing about.

it's still commercial after commercial. And the reason I don't bother recording it is because I have better things to watch, which was my point. The content of SNL was fine when there was NOTHING ELSE TO WATCH.
Now it's crap and you expect me to sift through a DVR recording to see if anything is worth watching? I'll pass. It's mostly crap, not to mention it Jumped the shark more than a decade ago....er 2 decades?
I can watch a comedy movie instead.

Sure if you watch the best of from the 80's-90's they won't show you all the crappy skits. Well there were plenty of crappy skits then and there are plenty now but the show is still great...
|
I think the difference between the current SNL and its better seasons from the past is consistency. The current SNL has some funny skits and some decent cast members, but there's still a lot of skits that should never make in on the air (either not funny, poor attempt at a reoccurring character, or the writers forgot to write an ending).

After that commercial on NBC w/ Phelps, I'm convinced this show will be a trainwreck.

If they don't do a skit where he plays McLovin, they really missed the boat.

I take my words back. Not bad- they made fun of his obnoxious mom and Shatner was kinda of funny.

Good first skit now. They are making fun of how dorky, stiff and fake he is. He is a home schooled inbred.

Might be poking fun at him some, but it is not funny at all.....
