I think we'd all be shocked by who lurks around this place.

But to put it another way - making jokes about my girls putting out to the football team is roughly the same as me telling you your little sister is a whore.

Yeah, but 10th and 11th graders probably are giving it up.

It's messed up, but true.

If one of them is your little sister, then I would agree with your statement about that one athlete. Otherwise, no, it's really not.

Oh I'm absolutely positive kids even younger are doing it. But I'd be willing to put good money on the fact that runners are just as slutty as cheerleaders, who are just as slutty as softball players, and so on...

I know two people on this board that had 40 times that no one here would believe if they met them.

One was a 4.5 and the other was a 4.38.

These times were 20 something years ago, and of course technology has really changed the accuracy of this thing. But anyone who has a time in the 40 that begins with a 4.........well...that person is pickin em up and puttin em down pretty fast in the general sense.

Props to the speedsters, and the long distance guys, the cheerleaders, and the people who coach any of them.

EDIT: did anyone notice how I so adeptly tried to steer this back towards sports....?

Hmmmm.... The cross guys are usually too skinny to really pull ass, and we all know the softball chicks prefer the company of women. So that leaves the cheer squad to take up the slack.

Not only am I going to hell, I'm driving the bus.

At our school, we've had a couple of cheer and dance coaches fired in the time I've been there because they "cared" about their girls but couldn't establish boundaries. Not implying that AT ALL about you, just saying we've had a run of these at our school.

OK, I just laughed out loud.

The volleyballers could be slutty?

I have never even considered this; don't know why. Wow, what a team that would have been.

I don't remember them standing out in HS, but in college the vb girls are usually the hottest athletes.

Boundaries is my middle name. We take no ****. Our program is taken very seriously by the girls, other kids, and the administration. Just last week, we had a football coach tell us that the cheerleaders are the hardest working athletes in our school (and this is not a school with ****ty sports).

Could be... But honestly, the biggest whores at my HS back in the day were the Pom squad. Those chicks would spread their legs for a guy like it was after school practice.

I kept my tomfoolery to the chicks at the local Catholic HS. And actually, one was a runner, and the other was a... runner/skier....

Clearly the coach is trying to hook up.

From what I'm told, based on competitions, our school has a very good dance program . Not so much on cheer. I just have a problem with the way the past dance coaches have acted (until a couple of years ago, they were all also employed by a pro sports franchise).
They have since been replaced with teachers and while the "quality" (as in trophies) have gone down, I would say the "quality" of lessons learned by these girls has improved. As far as hard working, good for you. That's usually not an argument we have to make in XC; it's just assumed.

I had a girl do both cheer and XC last year... she said cheer practice was harder. I was shocked. The XC team is very good. Then again, maybe XC practice is easy for those who are good runners.

Good question. The sun even shines on a dog's ass some days...

I got talking coaching and lost this in the mix... but props to GatorBill for this non-partisan effort.

Or maybe she was a lousy runner? If you don't make it hard, running just becomes jogging. Every XC team with decent numbers has some joggers.
